A gift for Steph

As you're reading this I'm already in Japan. I'm probably just about to go to bed after a day of either walking around the base visiting my old stomping grounds or from a day of shopping offbase and dinner w/some of my dh's co-workers. Whatever I did, I'm sure I'll be exhausted! LOL! Anyhow, I have scheduled a post for today. I made this gift for my friend Stephanie. This bday present was late cause I had changed it several times. The movie is The Holiday which I love and an itune GC. Also decided to include a pack of gum (she's deathly allergic to chocolate,. I know, how sad is that?!), which I totally lifted from Joni! Joni made us a little gum holder for our Island social. I even lifted the saying cause to be honest, I have no creative brain cell left in me right now. Every day I was exhausted from running around taking care of last minute stuff before the trip. And for those that are wondering (as of typing this post (112409)) I have not packed! I know can we say procrastinator? At least I was able to throw in 3 loads of laundry! Woohoo! All right... back to the gift...here it is and as always thanks for stopping by!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND A GIFT!!!!

****EDIT**** I just noticed that the original Birthday card was the wrong one...it had some circles on the bottom of the frame portion which shouldn't be there...so I've uploaded the correct version! I'm so sorry for the mistake and please download the new version!****

Just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Please be safe and enjoy this wonderful holiday with family and friends! And as a gift from me and TGF, here's a card I made instead of a desktop wallpaper. Yes, I know it's a bday card but Marie hasn't made a Thanksgiving kit yet...at least this card you can use over and over again! Enjoy!!

Click the picture to download.

To use the card, open up whatever photo editing software and open up whatever picture you want to use and drag it underneath the card layer. Once you got it print! That's it! Email me if you need more help or info!

Oh and check out my girl Jo, she too has some freebies on her blog!

TGF LO #8 - Thankful LO

It's Wednesday and you all who visit my blog knows what that means. It's TGF digital LO day! We were as to do a LO with a "thankful" or "Thanksgiving" theme. I chose to do a "thankful" LO. As usual, my LOs are simple and I usually like using only one photo if I can help it. Once again I recolored the paper to give it that "Thanksgiving/Thankful" feel. As always, thanks for stopping by!

Another CD Sleeve Post

Yes, I absolutely love making these! Especially since I'm giving some CD's away for Christmas! Here's another one I made for my dear friend who I will not name until she gets it! LOL! I think this is the last you'll see of these CD sleeves until I get back from Japan...we'll see.

Supplies used: Mindy Terasawa's I Believe papers, CCD stamp (I forgot what this is called), SU Sentiment stamp and punch used to punch it out and SU! CS Certanily Celery.

Yesterday's paper used was by Doodlebug and I don't know the name of it. Hope that helps!

OMG, you guys crack me up! I wasn't fishing for comments for my post. I mean, I appreciate all comments and emails, but really not big deal if you didn't comment. We are tryin' to motivate you to digi scrap. I notice when I post my LOs I don't get much comments, and was wondering if you have no interest at all in that style of scrapping. Also this will help me with my next digital scrapbooking class. So I do appreciate the comments on my work but it is not mandatory. LOL!

One more thing, you're only entered in the drawing IF you comment/email about the digital question. We are tryin' to promote digital kits/scrapping and we need ideas.

CD Sleeve

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting much. Ever since the craft fair I've had no mojo, no inspirations and to be honest, I just wanted to stay away from crafting. I tried and look where its got me, a post at 2:25 AM tryin' to get all my stuff done (*o*) not good. As of right now, I'm trying to schedule a few post for the week since I will be extremely busy this week! I leave for Japan Friday and I have yet to do laundry, pack and get everything else done! Worse is, today I have to take Roxy to the vet for her semi-annual checkup and to get all her shots current before staying at her doggie hotel (^o^). Ahhh, why do I wait last minute? Ugh! Anyhow, just wanted to let everyone know from this week until Dec I will not be able to post much. I really appreciate all who visit, leave comments and send me emails!!!

All right, now on to today's creation. I made this CD Sleeve to house the 2010 CD Calendar which I am giving as a gift to a friend. I just love the stamp image by CC Designs. I love the wings which has SU! Dazzling Diamond it really does make a difference! Sentiment is also from SU!

The 2010 CD Calendars will be available at DD this coming Sunday!

Oh yeah, before I forget, I've noticed a lot of you don't comment when I post a digital LO. I want to take a poll on what we can do to get you interested in digital scrapping or anything digi related. Is it because you are:

1. Not familiar with digital scrapping?
2. Don't have time?
3. Don't like my work (yikes...don't worry I don't like it sometimes either!)?
4. Just not interested?
5. Or other (please explain)

If you don't want to leave a comment, please email me. For those that participate in this survey will be entered to win a prize. I'm not sure what, but you'll get something! LOL! The winner will be announced when I return. You have from now until mid Dec to enter!

Aloha!

TGF Digital Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day Wednesday! Here's my LO submission for TGF Digi Wednesday. Yes, I used the Dirty Sugar kit, but recolored it to make it a bit more masculine since the kit was way too girlie! So many possibilities when you go digital! This is why I'd rather scrapbook in digital than traditionally...plus it takes me fo evah! LOL!

Please visit the other talented DCT girls:
OK, to answer some of your questions about the CD Calendar:

These calendars can fit in a regular CD case. It prints month to month sheets. All pages are premade, all you have to do is insert your photo. I have a tutorial on it, just look at the right side of my blog and click on tutorial. Please feel free to email me should you need any help.

2010 CD Calendar

Hi all! I was up late Sunday night till 3 AM Monday morning working on these for my good friend Mindy. I make her her CD Calendars every year and I wanted to get these done and to her before I go on vacation. These calendars are great gifts! I'm thinking of giving my dh and my bro the one I did as sample since they both love Roxy. Just a simple stocking stuffer. You know as you get older, it gets harder to figure out what everyone wants. My dh is especially hard to shop for since he can buy whatever whenever. However he never buys anything for himself. So every year for his bday and Christmas it gets harder and harder to figure out what to get him. Anyhow, I'm not sure how much Mindy plans on selling them for or when it'll go up. But here's your first look at them. I hope to print some out this week so you can see how they look in 3D. Aloha!

TGF LO #6

Today is TGF LO day! This LO is of Roxy's first birthday! I'm sure you can't tell but she's wearing a dress with a tutu. It's so cute on her, make me laugh every time I look at it. The only thing I don't like is the neck part. Any who, I have yet to do a book on her like I have of Avery so I wanted to start on her book and being on a DT is forcing me to do more LOs! Thanks for stopping by! Aloha!

Craft Fair recap

Happy Monday everyone! Am I glad the whole craft fair business is done and over with! LOL! Since this was my first craft fair, I had no idea what to expect. The stuff I thought would sell the most didn't and the stuff I didn't think would sell sold the best! Ahhh, live and learn! I did good but still have some inventory that I may put up on esty or just sell through my blog. We'll see! Oh before I forget, I wanna thank Miss Joni for stopping by! She's such a sweet person, she even brought me some cookies and boy were they oh so ono-licious! As a quick note to any first timers, (I'm sure most of my Hawaii girls are familiar with the whole CF thing, but I wasn't), I was told by my fellow crafters that there will be some crafters "shopping" for ideas...meaning they only go to get ideas on what items to copy...and you know I got a few which was funny cause I had several straight up asking exactly how to make what I made...hahaha! Too funny! I knew there would be some but not ask me exactly how I made my stuff. I'm seriously all for sharing my ideas and how to make stuff but um (not to be mean) not while and at the place I'm trying to sell stuff that I had worked over a month any other time. Wasn't upset about it, just shocked. Another lesson learned! On a brighter note, we met a local celebrity... Tim Sagahara from Hawaii News Now. He is the SIL of one of the coordinator for the CF. Nice guy...didn't realize he isn't from HI but from Cali! Woohoo!

OK, enough about that, here's a pic of my table (wish I thought of presentation, but I didn't so my table was plain)! Be sure to check back tomorrow as I will be giving away something!!!

Anyhow, here's Mindy's latest kit called I Believe (name by yours truly...LOL!). I believe it'll be available at Designer Digitals Sunday...I'll have to double check with Mindy. If I don't post by Sunday then I'm correct. If not I will make a note here on the blog!

MIA

Sorry friends, I've been busy tryin't to finish up my craft fair projects. I have to say as my first fair, I've learned a lot. Even though my items may seem simple, it was definitely labor intense. At least I've learned that I need to make more simpler items and if I want to ever participate again. hahaha! We were told that this was a fun thing and not to stress, I have to say there was a lot of stressin' done on my end up until yesterday. I figure why stress? No one is in charge of me and if I don't make a lot, I don't make a lot of mula...that's on me. This again was suppose to be fun...so I'm taking that for the rest of the week and allow it to be a fun process. If I don't have a lot of items, I don't have alot....no big loss.

With that said, as you know I have not created anything for the blog. I will post a few of the items once I'm all done. I did however create my weekly digi LO for TGF using their latest kit called Dirty Sugar. Which is up for sale at the TGF site...check it out!

OK, without further ado, here's my LO.

Don't forget to check out my fellow digi girls:

Joanne
