Case'd that Anya

I decided to participate in the Case'd that Anya going on. I always try to participate but always forget to submit. Anyhow, I finished this card early and will be uploading it to the gallery after this post (hopefully I won't forget). I love participating in these challenges, it forces me to make a card so I will always have one on hand for those special occasions. I hate not having a card on hand and I hate it even more if I have to make one last minute, my work usually tends to suffer. Anyhow that's my number one priority and if I win the prizes are just an added bonus (^o*)

New TGF Annika and a card from Tammy

A card I made for my cousin Lyn, whom I haven't seen in over 20 years only to find out she moved to the same town as my parents! I know, weird and long story! Basically she use to live in the Philippines and moved two towns away from my folks (after I had moved away) and whenever I'd come home to visit it would be such a short visit that I'd never get to see anyone but my parents so needless to say I was so happy to see her, her brother, his family and her cousin (a cousin from her dad side that I'm also close with) when I was home this past April. Anyhow, her birthday is tomorrow (I'm late sending it!) and I wanted to make her a little something. TFL!

And for my second card, I got this beautiful card from Tammy along with the Wild West Anya that I won from her site. Isn't this absolutely gorgeous? OK, I'm off to bed (at 3:44 PM) because my allergies are buggin' me and I took benedryl and whenever I take it I'm really groggy! Hopefully I'll be able to craft when I get up from my nap!

Thank You for Joy

I made this little treat bag for Joy of Tamiko's yesterday as a little thank you for being such a sweet person and for her great customer service! If you guys haven't visited Joy's blog or store, you should! Her blog is filled with gorgeous creations and her store has great stuff! She carries, The Greet Farm stamps, Pink Cat Studios, Pink Paislee, C.C. Designs, Dandelion Designs and Stampendous stamps along with a bunch of embellishments and craft goodies!! Anyhow this little treat bag idea came from Paper Pleasing Ideas, I had to alter it a bit for some reason my measurements weren't coming out right so I played around until I got it just right. Inside are Jelly Belly's that I got from the Jelly Belly Factory from back home. Yes, the JB Factory is where my parents lives. I never use to go there when I was living there but of course as soon as I moved away I would always go there to visit. The thing is, I don't like jelly beans...haha! But it's so neat visiting the place. I do buy the candies for dh's co-workers and for friends but I never really eat them. They do have their own M&M type candies that are delicious! Nurse Anya for my dad!

Killed two birds with one stone. My submission for the C.A.S.E for the TGF challenge (altho, I'm thinking of making another card and submitting that one instead...we'll see) and a card for my dear ole dad! Inside I used the stamp of the milk carton from the Comfort Food set (level 1 hostess set) which says "feeling sick? milk it." I'm a bit annoyed about the paper behind Nurse Anya, I wanted to matte it but unfortunately I accidentally glued it down before matting it. However, the next size up would have basically covered the whole card...that only means I need to go back to J's and grab the other set. I'm sure dh will love that (^o^)

Belated Easter Card, a RAK and an Award

Belated Happy Easter Everyone! (I know, I'm a whole week late!) Before I go on, I'd like to thank everyone who left me such nice comments! As I mentioned on my last post I left for the mainland to be with my family because my dad suffered a stroke and heart attack on April 1. By the the goodness of the LORD the stroke was not as bad as it could have been (he didn't report having the stroke for over 10 hours!). He has regained movement on his left side and is currently at the VA Hospital going through rehab. Once the doctors feel he's strong enough they will then proceed with a triple bypass. If it's not too much to ask if you could please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers. I would really appreciated it!

Moving on to a few cards I was able to make but wasn't able to send on time for Easter. Nothing special (just noticed that the flash from my camera really picks up a lot of my uneven coloring...ugh!). Just a little folder filled with stamped images, an idea I got from Jodi of Inked Inspirations:

An Easter Basket and Will Be Away

Hello Everyone! It's late, I'm exhausted! A family emergency has come up and I will be gone for a little over a week. I have been up and on the go since 7 this morning. Yeah, I know, I know there a lot of you that get up way before that, what can I say I'm a wuss (^o^). Packing is 75% done. Not quite sure where all my winter wear is...ugh, I guess I may have to buy a few sweatshirts but oh well, the hubby says go ahead buy whatever...ahhh he's such a great guy! I'm a bit sad leaving him since he's usually the one leaving me. I love traveling with him but he's the boss and he needs to be at the office. Sigh, that's the life of a military spouse!

Cute Purse and a sweet RAK

Short post today, got an order of invites for a Bridal Shower due this week. So creating for myself is far and few (*0*)

Onto what I've worked on today (while waiting for all the Shower details) is a little purse (lifted this from Enjoli) that holds HK note pads and pen for Grayton (4 years old) who's fighting Leukemia. She loves HK and anything Sanrio related. Saw a bunch of these cute packs of notepads and pens and thought she'd enjoy it along with the purse to take with her during her chemo. She loved the card I gave her earlier and apparently took it with her to the hospital during one of her chemo sessions and wouldn't let it go. So I figured she could write down little notes and what not with this gift. I'm thinking of getting her a few more things to put inside it tomorrow before sending.

Baby Shower Invites

This is one of the things keeping me busy. A good friend of mine is due in May and requested Baby Shower invites. Here is an example of going digital. It only took me less than 30 minutes to design and just about a couple of hours to print, cut and assemble (it was probably less time but I didn't work on it straight). These invites needed to be done ASAP so she could give her guest a month notice. Now I won't take any credit for this since I basically lift it...LOL! Like I said she needed them ASAP! And in this first batch there are only 31, I need to make 34 more because I ran out of cardstock and original CS is suppose to be brown. Oye! Oh well, it still turned out cute (at least I think they did and so did she). The rest will be done next week when I receive the rest of my SU! supplies.

Waiver

OK, so I asked for a waiver from my friend Margarita aka Ninette. We both gave up on buying anything craft related for Lent (I know, sounds crazy but that was the only thing I could think of. AND was the only thing that was a major obsession for me.) Before Lent started I told Ninette that I needed to buy SU! items at the end of March before SAB ended...so that was initially the waiver. However when Marie of TGF came out with Easter Anya and Batter Ian, I just had to get it...OK, ok, I was only suppose to get Easter Anya for my Easter cards and I decided to do one transaction and grab Batter Ian...but my only rebuttal/defense would be Ninette was taking a Copic class and she got four or five Copic markers outta it...so all is fair in Love and War...hahaha! OK, not sure if that saying goes but you get the idea...LOL!

Anyhow, here's a card I made using the Batter Ian (I made the Easter Anya also but my Copics ink ran out so her face was all blotchy, gotta find a new color to use for skin...can't buy any until after Easter so I'll need to find one for skin tone.) What?!? Its not a TGF Card?

LOL! I know, I know, unbelievable! LOL! Made this card for a friend. My first Stamping Bella...love it! I've had my Stamping Bella stamps since November and yesterday was the first time I used it!

Not sure if you can see her expanding belly is "popping out". You'll probably notice I overdid it on her eye makeup. Oh well!

Still lovin' these Fairies! This one is Fairy Eva! She's so cute. Not lovin' this card but I so love these fairies. Oh well...like I said before, good thing I give these cards to people who don't make cards, they appreciate home made cards no matter how cute or not so cute they are! LOL

Happy Aloha Friday!

It's Friday!!! Yeay!!! I'm so happy today is Friday...yeah, yeah, I know, you're wondering why I'm glad it's Friday when I don't have a solid 9 - 5 job. But I am actually busy during the week. The weekend I acutally give myself the break of being on the computer and just relax. However we still have visitors and one of my dh's cousin is still here, she's returning from Maui today along w/dh who is returning from VA. So we gotta play tour guide still. I tell ya, I love living in HI but it definitely takes it toll when you gotta play tour guide for a whole month! I am definitely telling my next set of visitors to come every other month! LOL! Anyhow, I got some a few things to share.

First, I was featured yet again on the TGF site (this is the third time and it never gets old!).

Second Mindy Terasawa has come out with a new digital kit called Howdy Cowboy and will be available on Sunday at Designer Digitals. For those that love TGF stamps this'll go perfect with the sheriff Ian. Oh and if you are wondering, she is coming out with an Easter kit! I, myself cannot wait to see what she comes up with!

And third a card I made that could have been better had I matted the circle so it would stand out a bit more and not blend into the background. I decided to post it cause I still like it even if its not so great.

TGF - Fairy Tink

OMG, I'm in love with TGF's latest fairy stamps! They are just too adorable! Just check out this cutie, her name is Fairy Tink! I was lucky enough to get her during the presale! If it wasn't for the dh, I would have never gotten up at 3AM! His alarm clock was on and he kept snoozing it from 3 - 6 AM! Why do men do that? Why can't they either get up at the time they set their alarm or reset it to the time they plan on waking up at? Men! I tell you what, he was lucky I got something out of this whole deal...LOL!

New Office
