Happy Birthday to my brother...

Today is his bday and I can't believe he's the age that he is. He acts so much younger than me and he's not! Ugh! LOL! He use to live with me here and wished he still did. But he's back at home helping my mom and dad since my dad's stroke. So I'm thankfully he can be there for them. Anyhow, I made my card digitally because, well he's a guy and doesn't really care for my Ian cards...hahaha! He loves my dog Roxy as if she was his own and she so loves him. So I figured he'd appreciate and keep this card. Real simple, again he's not into the fancy dancy...so this is what I made...enjoy and TFL! I'll post my RAKs from Denise's get together tomorrow! It's been about 2 or maybe 3 weeks since Mindy's last kit, so I was so happy to see her new one! She's back everyone and I'm so excited! hahaha! Her new kit Groovalicious (ahem, named by yours truly...hahaha!) is a fun and vibrant kit! Love it! I'm normally a soft subtle type gal but I just love the stuff she's been producing lately! I so can't wait for her Halloween kit! Did I tell you I LOVE Halloween? hahaha!

Was out all day today driving some family friends around who are visiting the island. I am now on my second night of being on Nyquil and it's so affecting me right now. Better sign off before my typing gets worse!

New Adventure!

Aloha! I am happy, happy, happy to announce that I made the TGF Digital Creative Team! Woohoo! As many of my regular bloggers know, I am first and foremost a digital scrapper. I believe my digital work so outweighs my traditional card making abilities. Altho, I sitll love making cards the traditional way, digital is definitely what I'm comfortable with! Therefore, when I saw the announcement to apply I did it without really thinking. I told no one in case I didn't make the team...hahaha! Yes, I am a chicken but hey, you would have never known had I not gotten picked! Anyhow, I am so excited for this new venture! More details will come! Fancy Favor Halloween Treat and SU! Holiday Mini Catalog

Short post today. Made another sample using the Sweet Center Stamp set and SU! Fancy Favor die. Also used the Circle Cutter for the middle of the Favor box to cut the window. TFS!

Halloween Treats!

Can you believe that it's almost Halloween? I can't! But I have to say I'm sooo excited for Halloween! I think Halloween and Christmas are definitely my favorite holidays!

Anyhow, this leads me to today's project. Stampin' UP! has really outdone themselves this year! Starting on September 1, you can order the stamp set I used called Sweet Centers ($29.95) along with the Sweet Treat Cups (for an unbelievable price of $2.95 for 12). Here I filled the Sweet Treat Cups with Tic-Tac, and used the EEK stamp from the Sweet Centers set. When I saw the set and the cups, I knew I had to preorder it ASAP!!! I just love this idea and will use this set throughout the year since they have a Christmas, Valentine and Flower stamp that's in the set! This is a perfect favor/treat and is so easy and quick to make! Again this will be available September 1! Tote-Ally Awesome Tote!

I love this tote, OK, maybe not mine but the idea and the one Becky made! This is a trial version. There are still a bunch of things I've learned while putting this all together and hopefully the next one will come up way better than this. LOL! Anyhow, I wanted to post as I don't have anything else to post. Been busy getting ready for my class and I've got two orders for Baby Announcements, Baptism and Change of address. Funny how my two clients wants two different cards each! LOL! Anyhow here's my trial version of the Tote bag...as always thanks for stopping by!

Anyone up for Tennis?

Here's another from the Sporty series! When I bought this image I thought of my BFF who loves playing tennis and tried to get me out on the tennis courts. I tried it in HS and failed miserably...haha! Now I wish Marie comes out with a Golf Ian and Anya! I'm not sure when I'll use this card, but I think I may give it to my BFF, but we'll see! Wanted to play again! It's easier with these new stamps cause they're instant AND I don't have to cut the rubbah! haha! I don't mind cutting rubbah, just haven't had much time to do so.

All right enough of my babbling, here's my card, simple and plain but I didn't want to add more. I'm so not the embellish type. I like to be but I always tear everything off and go with the plain and simple LO. I will however add on a sentiment once I figure out who to give this to. TFS!

Gift Card Holder Folder Tutorial

OK, I know I'm long overdue on this tutorial (Thanks Ninette for pointing that out...LOL). Please excuse the horrible pics, I was using my POC:



CS measures: 11 x 4.25
Score at: 3, 5.5 and 8
Fold like the pic


At this point I adhere my DP paper you can do this at any point since it's a flat project. Place adhesive as shown:


Once you've adhere it together use oval punch (about little less than half way of the punch) and punch as shown in picture.


Then cut about a quarter off like shown:



There you go! I know it's not the best tutorial, but it's so simple a Caveman can do it (^o^). Email me if you need more help/instructions.

Softball Anya

Yeay!!! Another Anya stamp! Too cute, don't you think? I wanted to finish my project, but when I saw the new stamps I just had to play with at least one! LOL! I may try and work on another! However I'm getting really, really sleepy! Hahaha! What shall I do?

Me - Digital Layout

Since I'll be teaching Digital Scrapbooking at Pineapple Cove at Kahala Mall on Aug 29, from 1 - 3. I thought I'd post a digi LO. This one was for a challenge I did back in 07 about me for my AAM (All About Me Book).

I was planning on posting a project that I'm working on for a Craft Fair I'm participating in. However this project is very labor intense. Needless to say, I have a few more things to do before I can post. OK, maybe not a few, I guess I'm only halfway done. I'm starting early so I can work out the kinks and be ready for this Fair! TFS!

Sis bday gift

OK, so this is what I made for my sister:

We both love Bridget Jones's Diary and I thought sending her money w/o a gift was lame-o. Plus I wanted to make this tote to house it in just so it's different. The front carries her bday card w/her mula and the thank you card I made using the GG image (previous post). In the back I put popcorn (as if you can't see...lol). I would have put some M&M's but she's not into sweets. Figure money was more her cup of tea! LOL!

On another note, I decided to put a twist on the blogwear giveaway, instead of forcing the winner to win the cupcake blogwear (some could care less for cupcakes, I know, hard to believe...haha), I decided to let the winner choose which blogwear they'd prefer. Sounds good?

Sister bday card take 3...

OK, I know you guys must think I'm nutso! LOL! I really wasn't happy with the first two cards! hahaha! I think I'm all right with this one now! I need to hurry up so I can send it this AM along with her present! I'm such lagger! Anyhow, I will not change her bday card anymore! hahaha! The card I made yesterday will be a "thank you" card for her for her Christmas and Bday present she just sent...yes, you read that correctly, I just got her Christmas and bday gift the other day! Hmmm, we're a family of lagger! hahaha! Anyhow, here's the card!

Sis Bday Card

OK, not too sure about this card, I like it better than yesterday card but there's something missing...and if you know me, I don't like to put too much on my cards. Yup, that's me, simple!

Oh before I forget, I've had some people ask me about my Copics purchase. They're about $4 for the Sketch and I think $2.97 - 3 for the Ciao. I actually prefer the Ciao's cause their brush tip isn't too flimsy for me. But I do buy a mix of both. You can buy them as a set or individual. The store I get them at has a frequent buyer card so you may want to ask the store you're at if they have any. I'm not too sure where in Tokyo you can buy them, but your best bet are the Stationery stores in Japan. Stationery stores in Japan are huge! I get mine at the store right off the Naval base on the way to the train station. If you are in that area and would like to know exactly where please email me and I'll give you directions.

Yeay! No Hurricane!

The State of Hawaii was lucky that Hurricane Felicia was a no show! Yeay! Scary with all the talk, and yeah, I know I was a bit worried and cautious but hey I've only lived on this island for 18 months and hopefully during my duration here, I will not encounter one! LOL! I am however sad that it did not rain much. I love the rain and love being home during one of those rainy days with hot chocolate and a good movie on! No such luck (@_@).

Anyhow, I was not in a creative mindframe and tried to make my sis a birthday card. Came up with the picture below and after it was done I didn't feel it was good enough to send her. It is however good enough as a birthday note card (is that what they call it? You know the one that goes on the gift?). So I won't be sending this card to my sister and will be making another tomorrow. Thought I'd post it anyways since I really don't have anything to post today. I'm also posting my Copic goodies that I got from my trip to Japan.

Belated Happy Bday Dad!

I'm late with my dad and sister's bday gifts and cards! This month has been crazy hectic for me. Then again whenever I come back from a vacay I'm always so busy! I have all my weekends booked this month. I feel bad that I didn't get their packages out on time, but I hope they understand. My dad and sister share their birthdays so it was double whammy! It seems like almost all my dh's siblings and wives and my siblings and dad have bday's this month! Ugh! LOL! Anyhow, here's a card I Case'd from Pam Varnell. Everything is pretty much the same except the color. TFS!

Blog Sistah's!

This past Saturday me and a few other bloggin' sistahs went to Teri's (Big Ideas From a Little Girl) to help her prepare a few things for an event she's hosting. It was so much fun gettin' to know all who went! I hadn't laughed this much in so long! Great times and great ladies! I wanted to make them a little something cause all of these ladies had given me a RAK.

Happy Birthday to my dear hubby!

Yesterday was my dh's bday. Usually I make him a card digitally with the doggies. But this year, I decided to make it the old traditional way. I thought the stamp from GG was perfect along with the sentiment that I found in a gallery (please don't ask as I just pulled the pic out for inspiration) I didn't lift the card, just the sentiment, got the layout of the card from a sketch, not sure if it was from Mojo Monday or not. I'm horrible like that, so sorry. If this is your saying or your LO sketch please feel free to email me so I can give you credit.

We celebrated his birthday by going to Alan Wong's (love that place). But before we went in, I wanted to make a pit stop at J's hahaha! Dh was sweet to humor me, he even joined me and looked through the sports card while I looked around. Dinner was great, dessert was even better! I ordered the coconut ice cream and dh ordered the banana split. If you've never been, you've got to go!!! All right enough babbling here's my bday card for my dh...again, I can't stress how much I love the sentiment and how perfect it was! haha! TFS!
