Happy Sunday to everyone! I worked on a couple of cards today as I was watching the Oscar's Red Carpet show. Which I normally don't watch...but since Rob from Twilight is on, I thought I'd check it out...lol! Anyhow, not much to say so here are the cards...

Using the new Miss Anya set...love these stamps!

Absolutely love this stamp! Simple, simple card, but I love how the DP paper spotlights the stamp. I felt adding anything would have taken away from it.

Sweetie Stamps

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having and had a wonderful 3 day weekend! Anyhow this'll be a quick and short post.

I've been given the OK by Mindy to get the Sweeties made into rubber stamps. I'm still at the early stage of researching a good company that will manufaturer the stamps. Please leave me a comment if you're interested in buying these cute little sweeties. I by no means will be selling them in the capacity that of The Greeting Farm, but I think I'll have enough interest to get a few made. So if you would so kindly leave me a comment regarding this issue, I would truly appreciate it!!!

Hope you have a great Monday. I know for most, your Monday is almost over...so I say to you, I hope you had a great Monday and a great week to follow!

Aloha!
Claudette

Happy Valentines Day!!

Here are two cards I worked on today. I tell ya it takes me so much longer to make cards than it is for me to make digi cards! But I do love the process!

I got this sweet set from my friend Margarita (Margarita's Crafts) for my birthday. I was so surprised and shocked when I found it in the mail! Thanks Chick!!! I love my Lilly and Billy set. Another stamp company for me to spend all my husband's money at! (^o^) LOL!

As always thanks for stopping by!

Crazy For Cupcakes

I'm stocking up on my birthday cards for the year and so far these are what I've made with SU!'s Crazy for Cupcake set. I just love how I can use this set over and over for birthday cards!

Valentine Lollipop Treats

Favors I did for Mindy using her Love Bandit kit:

I've been Tagged

Joy of A Place to Be Me tagged me to participate in this fun game. I'm supposed to go the 6th picture, in my 6th folder, where I store my pictures, and then tell the story behind that picture. Here's the picture:
This is my sweet Avery, back in August 2007. I took this picture because he was lying halfway off his bed. What's the big deal? Well that he was half on his bed and half on the floor. Yet he seemed so comfortable. Now you know had it been us humans we'd really wouldn't have a smile on our face or stay in that position for very long. But not my Avery he always found the oddest position the most comfortable one and always with a smile! Sadly Avery passed away June 2008 and I am still having a difficult time with his passing. I don't have any kids yet so Avery was my first child and its the worst feeling in the world to have to make the decision to put him down so he no longer sufferd. To this day I still question myself on whether or not we waited to long... (*o*)

OK, I know this was suppose to be a fun game, but this was the sixth picture in my sixth folder.

Sheesh, I'm not sure who to tag, all my bloggin' friends has been tagged! I'll have to come back to this part of the game.

Favorite LO

This has to be my one of my favorite LOs. This was a lift from one of my favorite scrappers Veronica Ponce. Doing this LO totally brought back so many wonderful memories! As most of you know I grew up in Japan and it's a place I consider home. Anyhow, this LO was of my years in Elementary, I'm missing a couple of class pictures... Oh well, I'm hoping my mom will find them one day! I decided to jot down a few of my memories during my time at Sullivan Elementary instead of journaling. TFS!

So please always feel free to leave me a comment whether it be about my work or just to shoot me a "hello"! No biggie if you're shy, I always welcome everyone to this creative process of mine!

Hello Kitty Card for Grayton

Here's a quick and simple card I did for my good friend's daughter Grayton. She was diagnosed the day after Christmas with leukemia. She just turned four. I am sending her a little princess set (toy) and I know she likes Hello Kitty. If you don't mind praying for her we'd really appreciate it! Mahalo!

Supplies:
CS: SU! Red Ridinghood
PP: Mindy Terasawa's Sweet Love
Sizzix Hello Kitty Die

Geisha Anya

I'm just loving TGF's Anya and Ian stamps!! They are definitely my new favorite! Here's one that I grabbed as soon as it came out. I have no clue why the colors are so deep...it looks different IRL, and I'm so irritated that the hair looks awful...ugh, oh well...thank goodness I'm not giving this to a fellow stamper! LOL!

Supplies:
CS: SU! Red Ridinghood and Kiwi Kiss
PP: Mindy Terasawa's Sweet Love
Ribbon: SU! Kiwi Kiss
Markers: Copics (sorry, I need to get better at keeping track of what I use)

Another Sneak Peek

Here are the stickers from Mindy's new Valentine Kit - Love Bandit. Aren't they just too cute? I believe it'll be out next Sunday, Feb 1.

A Request

I've had several request to post some of my digi LOs here on my stampin' blog. And since I've hadn't really done anything stamp related and this poor blog is being neglected, I thought I'd share a few of my LOs I did on my scrap challenge blog...so here are some of my LOs! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek

...here's a sneak peek of Mindy's second Valentine Kit:

Found a great store!!!

OMG, I cannot believe that Joy from Tamiko's has a store that sells The Greeting Farm stamps (formerly known as Pink Poison) and other great craft supplies! I have been emailing her and visiting her blog on a daily basis and it never occurred to me to look throughly at her blog. I'm always going there for great inspirations (there are tons!), not realizing anything else! Anyhow, I found her store through another site and am thrilled to have found it. Not only does she have some cute stamp sets and supplies, but she's currently offering FREE SHIPPING on orders $25 and above! So please hop on over to her blog (for inspiration) and her store (for goodies) and check her out! She's also one of the sweetest people I've met here on the island!!! Thanks again Joy it was great meeting you and talking your ear off...LOL!!!

Hero Arts - Robot

Sorry friends, I really haven't had time to do anything crafty! Believe me when I say I've been dying to craft but I have a few more appointments to go to and hopefully once I've gone to all I can get back to crafting. In the meantime here's a bday card I made for my husband's cousin's husband...hahaha! How would you word that? My husband's cousin-in-law? Anyhow, I'm sure you know what I mean...LOL!

Supplies:
CS - SU! Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Red Ridinghood and Baja Breeze
Pattern Paper: Mindy Terasawa's Itty Bitty Robots
Stamp: Hero Art's Robot Set (not sure of the name)
Markers: Copics (don't remember which ones I used...sorry)
Misc.: Spellbinder's circle

Sweeties by Mindy Terasawa

Happy Sunday everyone! I know I said I'd post either Friday night or Saturday but of course time got the best of me and I wasn't feeling well Saturday and pretty much stayed in bed the whole day.

Anyhow below is a picture of Mindy's Sweeties. What are Sweeties you ask? Well they are little Avatars that suppose to look like you in a chubby cute way (^o*). You can use these to make cards and on your scrapbook pages. The possibilities are endless. So what you do is pick one that closely resemble you. If you need a color change or outfit switch (between those on the preview) I can do that for you. I am selling these each for $5 (via paypal only). Each meaning one sweetie, not the whole sheet...LOL! I am also thinking of making them into digi stamps so if you are interested please let me know. I also as you to please DO NOT bug Mindy requesting a custom Sweetie. She refuses to do them and that is probably why she has given me the go ahead as far as selling these premade Sweeties.

Here's what mine looks like:

And here's what's avail:

Mindy Terasawa's new Valentine Kit

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA from the blog. I got tons of appointments this week and next so I haven't been able to answer emails or blog hop lately :( Can't wait to get everything done and over with so I can get back to creating and blog hopping (^-*)

Anyhow my good and talented friend Mindy has come out with a new Valentine Kit called Sweet Love...this is a romantic kit with a twist of Asian flair. That's at least how I interpret it...lol! And for my Hawaiian/Japanese friends, don't you fret as she is coming out with another Valentine kit that'll be more our type...CUTESY! I can't wait to see!!!! So in the meantime, check out her Sweet Love kit at Designer Digitals on Sunday, Jan 18. Without further ado here's a preview of Sweet Love:

Also, check back tonight or tomorrow as I have something cute to show you. Until then...see ya blog later!!

They're here!

Anyone who wants to order one, please email me ASAP, they go fast!

Can't wait to rip the box open and make my list!!

Crossin' my fingers!

***EDIT*** Got an email from SU! and yes! It's been confirmed that my package is on its way!!! My package is the first one on the UPS list...so hopefully for all you other Ewa Demonstrators, you are too getting yours today!

Looks like those SU! Demo's (those who ordered one package of catalogs) maybe be getting them today!!!!! Joy D. I think you're a demo yeah? If you ordered one box, then maybe your order is one of them in the pic below. I hope the way I looked it up was correct...watch it be someone elses' order...hahaha! All of the packages that UPS is delivering today are all coming from same place and delivered to the Ewa Residents. I took the lead from the other demos and typed in West 1 Package and our zip...so lets cross our fingers this is it! **I just noticed it says sked delivery Jan 13, but if you look it up and click on the details it says its out for delivery so hopefully that's because it's being updated from either the west or east coast?**

Pink Poison - Pink Riding Hood

LOL...yeah, yeah she's suppose to be Red Riding Hood but I wanted to use up my retired DSP from SU! so that's how she became Pink Riding Hood...LOL! I'm actually not to thrilled on how this came out. But I wanted to create something. I guess the creative juices are not flowin' tonight. It could be because I went to Fisher to look for the New Hero Art stamps that Joy got and there were no more :( I even had the sales person look through all the new boxes and they had everything but that! Yeah, that could be it...lets blame it on that! LOL! OK, enough blabbing here's my card:

Sorry photos is horrible...used my POS. I gotta take out the SLR next time!

Supplies:
PP: SU! DSP Berry Bliss (retired)
Ribbon: SU! Pretty in Pink
CS: SU! Chocolate Chip
Misc: SU! Uni-Ball White Signo Pen, SU! Scallop Edge Punch, Nestablilities Scallop and Circle Spellbinders
Pink Poison: Red Riding Hood Stamp

CD Calendar Tutorial

Here's my feeble attempt on a tutorial for the CD Calendars.

First of all you should have a photo editing software that allows you to use "layers". Keep in mind I don't know how the other photo editing softwares works but I believe it's very similar to Photoshop in which layers are used.

So first open up one of the months. In this example, I've opened up June. (Please excuse my wallpaper I'm sorry if it may be distracting the dogs are not part of the LO/calendar.) Please click on the picture to see a larger version.

Noticed on the right side on my "layers" section it shows one layer which is titled : "June Calendar"

Then I open the picture (my sister will kill me for posting her beach picture, but this is all I can find that relates to the water...I am however far more sexier than she is, that's how you can tell us apart...LOL!) I want to drag onto the June layer.

I know I've said onto, but what I really want to do is drag it beneath the June layer to look like this:

Notice the red arrow pointing to the picture underneath the June Calendar. That's how it should look regardless of what software you're using. Once you get it like the picture, you can print from there.

I hope this helped and if not please email me and I'll try to help you as best as I can.

Aloha!
Claudette

Alice in Wonderland - Pink Poison

OK, I totally forgot what's Pink Poison's new name is...too lazy to look for it so I'll have to edit this later. LOL! Been cleaning all day and frankly I'm beat and lazy!

I needed to upload something new on this blog so here's a card I did using PP's Alice in Wonderland stamp. I know, I know...I totally suck in coloring w/my Copics...gotta learn to master the art of coloring with Copics. As you can see the face and some parts of the dress are very uneven, but I did not want to go over the face again because I did not want her face to be too dark. And I actually just noticed the dress is uneven. Sigh... I guess practice makes perfect. (And if you're wondering, I got the set of Copics while visiting Japan and let me tell you, they are soo much cheaper there!) Gonna have to do another Alice to replace the one on the card, but for now here's a pic taken with my point and shoot which I hate using when taking a pic of my cards...but oh well. LOL! TFL!

Supplies:
SU! DSP Autumn Vine
SU! CS - Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango
SU! Ribbon - Baja Breeze Striped
Stamp - Pink Poison
Markers - Copics (Sorry, I did not write down the colors and I have no clue what I used)

Winners!

Hi All! Sorry it took me this long to announce the winners! My mom is visiting and I'm still playing catch up! Anyhow I decided to give the 10 people who commented a copy of the CD Calendars since it took me foreva. So congrats to all and thanks so much for stopping by!!! Please email me at YourSUDemonstrator(at)gmail.com with a valid email address for the link.

Winner Announcement Postponed...

Before I explain what happen, I want to wish everyone a Belated Happy New Years! Hope your New Years started off well!

As for the calendars, I had every intentions of getting this done today. However Mindy pointed out that I had made some of the months transparent...need to edit. Gomen! I also forgot dh and I had planned on painting my room before my new office fixtures are installed. I promise hopefully by Monday morning I will have announced the winner and fixed the calendars. Thanks so much for your patience!
