Is it Thursday already?!?!

Wow, this week is going by super duper fast!  I'm tryin' to catch up on  my card making as I have several friends and family who's birthdays are this month.  So I'm tryin' to crank out some cards...not easy when your mojo isn't all there.  This first card I used CC Design's Sugarplums Lil' Bug Emma along with some Making Memories paper (I think it's from Making Memories, please correct me if I'm wrong) that I got from Pineapple Cove

This next project was using my CD Calendar that I created for Mindy, which you can purchase here.  Originally this was intended to be housed in a CD case. But when I got the calendar from the printers, I got lazy and then decided that I would use my BIA and then of course got too lazy to pull the BIA out and saw this vertical stand (I'm thinking of painting it to match all my other fixtures on my desk, but it'll have to wait until I move back to the mainland) that I had bought last year just sitting in the corner of my desk.  Perfect!  All I had to do was punch two holes on top and hang it!  Donzo!

Thanks again for stopping by!  I need to take pics of my RAKs still so if you gave me one, I truly am grateful, I've just been so darn lazy and soo not motivated for some reason!!!  Sorry!!!

I'm also tryin' to gather some blogcandy together to post and pick a winner.  I apologize for the delay in this but if you read the above para, then you'll see why.

One more thing, I had a question about my Amazing Duo cards...where did I get the paper...I actually just made it from comic books...  Of course I didn't draw or create it but I just put it together, PS it on the computer and voila`!

Sugarplums Lil' Bug Emma was bought at Cute Stuff.

TGF Digital Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day Wednesday! Here's my LO submission for TGF Digi Wednesday. Yes, I used the Dirty Sugar kit, but recolored it to make it a bit more masculine since the kit was way too girlie! So many possibilities when you go digital! This is why I'd rather scrapbook in digital than traditionally...plus it takes me fo evah! LOL!

OK, to answer some of your questions about the CD Calendar:

These calendars can fit in a regular CD case. It prints month to month sheets. All pages are premade, all you have to do is insert your photo. I have a tutorial on it, just look at the right side of my blog and click on tutorial. Please feel free to email me should you need any help.

2010 CD Calendar

Hi all! I was up late Sunday night till 3 AM Monday morning working on these for my good friend Mindy. I make her her CD Calendars every year and I wanted to get these done and to her before I go on vacation. These calendars are great gifts! I'm thinking of giving my dh and my bro the one I did as sample since they both love Roxy. Just a simple stocking stuffer. You know as you get older, it gets harder to figure out what everyone wants. My dh is especially hard to shop for since he can buy whatever whenever. However he never buys anything for himself. So every year for his bday and Christmas it gets harder and harder to figure out what to get him. Anyhow, I'm not sure how much Mindy plans on selling them for or when it'll go up. But here's your first look at them. I hope to print some out this week so you can see how they look in 3D. Aloha!

CD Calendar Tutorial

Here's my feeble attempt on a tutorial for the CD Calendars.

First of all you should have a photo editing software that allows you to use "layers". Keep in mind I don't know how the other photo editing softwares works but I believe it's very similar to Photoshop in which layers are used.

So first open up one of the months. In this example, I've opened up June. (Please excuse my wallpaper I'm sorry if it may be distracting the dogs are not part of the LO/calendar.) Please click on the picture to see a larger version.

Noticed on the right side on my "layers" section it shows one layer which is titled : "June Calendar"

Then I open the picture (my sister will kill me for posting her beach picture, but this is all I can find that relates to the water...I am however far more sexier than she is, that's how you can tell us apart...LOL!) I want to drag onto the June layer.

I know I've said onto, but what I really want to do is drag it beneath the June layer to look like this:

Notice the red arrow pointing to the picture underneath the June Calendar. That's how it should look regardless of what software you're using. Once you get it like the picture, you can print from there.

I hope this helped and if not please email me and I'll try to help you as best as I can.

Aloha!

Winner Announcement Postponed...

Before I explain what happen, I want to wish everyone a Belated Happy New Years! Hope your New Years started off well!

As for the calendars, I had every intentions of getting this done today. However Mindy pointed out that I had made some of the months transparent...need to edit. Gomen! I also forgot dh and I had planned on painting my room before my new office fixtures are installed. I promise hopefully by Monday morning I will have announced the winner and fixed the calendars. Thanks so much for your patience!
