It's Thursday!

My goodness the weeks are going by so fast! I'm sure most of you that work say it's not going fast enough.  But for me, staying at home you'd think I would be bored to death.  But to be honest, I have tons of stuff to do and when I look up at the clock and see how it's almost dinner time I'm always wondering where the time has gone.  But this week, I actually can't wait for the weekend to come (will explain later). We got some stuff happening over there weekend and I can't wait.

Anyhow...  Today I am sharing a small look into my Project Life.  Are you doing Project Life? I know most of my visitors are card makers, but if you are a card maker or a scrapper and you are participating in Project Life, please share a link in the comment section, I would love to see.  Mine is so far behind, I'm even going back to my first few weeks and adding a few things here and there, which isn't helping me get caught up...LOL! I hope to be caught up soon, but I'm really far behind!  I guess key to keeping up is to make everything as simple as possible especially since that's the whole purpose.  OK, here's mine:

Is it really Thursday?

Wow!  This week went by super duper fast!  Don't you think?  Anyhow, this is another quick post.  Today I'm posting the ATC card I made for the swap at Pineapple Cove.  I didn't realize how much fun I'd have making these.   They're super easy because they're super small.  LOL!  Theme for this month was Butterflies.  What better way to use Flutter Anya!

Belated Happy New Years Everyone!

Hi all! It's been a while!  Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that your New Year started off with a big bang! Lots of stuff going around at the Islander Girl  household.  One of which is our household location has relocated...LOL! We are slowly settling back to life here and I have been s-l-o-w-l-y unpacking. I say slowly as the dh is away for a month.  Which of course means unpacking is obviously resting solely on my shoulders (until he gets back).  Other than movin there had been a couple of obstacles (no worries, I will not go into details...).  Crafting has definitely been on the back burner.  I don't know quite when I will be able to craft, all my craft supplies are still in boxes waiting for my studio to be built next month (to say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement).

I got a few minutes to spare and thought I'd upload a card I made for Pineapple Cove a few weeks ago.  I used TGF's latest Miss Anya.  Here's the card, sorry not much to say but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed w/things to do...aren't we all! I'm still here

I know it may seem like I'm not but I am.  I have been creating, just not as often as I would like.  Uploading the pictures is another step, one that I cannot get myself to do lately :(  So I thought I'd post a picture of what I created for Pineapple Cove using the Hello Kitty stamps.  I think they are just way too adorable.  I knew exactly what I wanted to create off the bat.  As usual, I swiped the pic from PC's blog.  I believe we'll be doing a class at PC focused on Halloween treats/favors.  Stay tune for the announcement (yeah, yeah, I know you're waiting off the edge of your seat! ha!).

Still here...

...just been busy and lazy all at the same time.  I know, how's that possible?  Don't know but I've that is whats truly going on in my live.  My post will get fewer and far between until next year.  But please do check back from time to time cause I will post when I can (if laziness doesn't win).

Oh and have you noticed they're already coming out with Halloween designs...crazy!  It's only August and CC Designs has their Halloween line out! Wowzer!  I made these favor samples for Pineapple Cove.  I don't normally give Halloween cards but we all make/do Halloween favors.  I have to say Halloween is one of my favorite holidays besides Christmas!  So here are a couple of favors I made...will post more throughout the week (if I can get to it)

The one on the left (Halloween Birgitta) is a tic tac holder and the one on the right (Sweet November Baby Trick or Treat Hero) is a kit kat holder.    BTW, I snagged this photo from PC's website.  LOL!  Thanks ManLe!

Just Because...

Can you believe that I've had Stella for quite a while now...in fact, I think I've had her from when she was first release from TGF.  This is the first time I've actually inked her up and created a card with her!  I have so many TGF stamps that have yet to be used!  As most of you know I'm a huge fan of TGF and really honored to be part of the TGF family.  I could never get tired of any of the characters! 

About the card, I used Kaiser Craft dp and Hey Birdie Clear Stamp, washi tape, Tim Holtz die, Hero Arts sentiment (just because...) and of course Stella from TGF.  Everything except for the washi tape and Tim Holtz die are avail at Pineapple Cove.  

I have a few more cards to make for PC using other Kaiser Craft dp, so be on the look out!  Mahalo and hope everyone has a great Aloha Friday!

Did anyone say Louis Vuitton?

Doesn't this bag resemble a Louis Vuitton purse?  When I saw ManLe's email about what today's project was I was over the moon!  This cute little purse would make such a cute Bridal Shower or Birthday party favor, don't you think?  I absolutely love it.  Now the other ladies decided to go with a different dp/cs but I choose to stay with the same color as ManLe's sample.  I like how it really resembles a LV purse.  If you're interested in learning how to make it, Pineapple Cove will be offering a class.  Check out their site for class details.  As always, thanks for stopping by! ...lol! I crack up every time I read the names of these mermaids.  The names are weird, but the mermaids are so pretty!  Made this card for Pineapple Cove using Kaiser Kraft dp, CC Designs Shimmer Redkelp and Celebrate sentiment from Hero Arts.  All available at Pineapple Cove (except for the oval and scallop punch).  If you're not on the island you can still make a purchase through their website!

OK as for the blog giveaway, I decided to hold off on it yet again! Patriotic Cheeky!

Coaster Bag

The other day we had a playdate at Pineapple Cove and we made this cute little Coaster Bag.  I have to say, whenever I'm there I never really make anything or finish a project but I was so into it I made two.  Actually I didn't finish them cause we were missing the bags so I had to finish it at home  (I rarely finish a project if I take home) and this is the outcome:

I have another one in the works but I'm not making it a bag...stay tune (like I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat waiting to see what I come up with...NOT! LOL!).  The paper I used was from Leslie's pile (thanks Leslie!).  I just thought it was just the cutest dp!

Ahhhhh....I'm back!

Hello friends! Sorry for the week long absent!  Dh went on travel last week and I decided I needed a "stay-cation" of doing absolutely nothing!  OK, maybe not all true but for the most part I didn't fix my bed, didn't do laundry, didn't cook, slept in and took plenty of naps (^o^)  Yes, you can say I have a pretty nice life.  LOL!  I may have another stay-cation next week too!  hahaha!  We'll see just how lazy I can be...  I will say last week's stay-cation worked wonders.  i was just so tried from my Japan trip (yes, the one I took in Dec), my family visiting from Dec - Jan, the trip to LA, the in-laws visiting for 3 weeks, catching up on all the stuff after all the visitors left...so this break was much needed!  I did craft here and there but nothing serious.  After this break I'm really not motivated to do much...LOL!  Sigh, it'll slowly come back, I hope.

Any who, I made this card for my gf ManLe (She owns Pineapple Cove at Kahala Mall).  Her bday is today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANLE!!!  Wishing you all the best and hope you enjoy your special day after work of course!  LOL! 

Made this card  using CC Design's Sugarplums Balloon Emma.  I think this stamp along with Balloon Trevor and Party Emma are so adorable.  Been meaning to ink these stamp since I bought them end of Jan.  I also got this outrageously huge Sugarplum set that I will hopefully ink up this week...so be on the lookout for more CC Design cards/projects.  The card is real simple card but hey, all my cards are simple.  What's  new...hahaha!

These cupcakes are from Roxy to her Aunty ManLe.   Yeah, yeah, I'm using the same pic of Roxy again...it's my fave and her hair is so uneven right now.

Happy Birthday my little Roxy Girl!!!

Today is my little baby's 2nd bday!!!  I'm gonna bake her a dog friendly cake and maybe make her a plain steak...hmm, we'll have to see.  LOL! I know I'm a bit crazy!  But hey, she's my only child!  Here's the bday girl with her crazy uneven haircut...hahaha!

Next is another card for Pineapple Cove...don't know what's up w/the color of the pic but that is not how it looks IRL.  I love this image...heck, I love all of the Bunnies!!

Lastly I got these cool Copic storages yesterday and headin' back to get one more...don't you think they look all neat?  I love them!!!  I prefer to have my Copics laying down oppose to upright when storing them.  I like to do them the way Japan has them stored.  I believe you can store them either way but I like them better laying. 

 

OK, that's it for now...and as I'm typing this my eyes are drooping!
