My heart broke tonight...

...this won't be a regular blog post nor will it be anything craft related, but I wanted to pay tribute to my family dog, Minnie.  She passed away today and I'm so sad!  But I'm more sad for my mom and dad (especially my dad).  Her brother passed away almost 2 years ago (in Jan).  Minnie for as much as we knew wasn't sick.  I'm thanking GOD every minute since I've heard the news that I got to spend some time with her this past Thanksgiving.  Minnie was afraid of Fuji, so while we were visiting my parents, she pretty much stayed inside their room.  So every day and every time I got home, I'd go inside their room to play with her.  So back to today, my mom called (she's visiting us, staying at my sis) and told me that Minnie passed away.  I went cried my eyes out and went and told my hubby (who was in bed sleeping already), both dogs were sleeping but when I was bawling like a baby, Fuji stood up and came over and literally kissed the tears away.  Now most of you are probably thinking what's wrong with that?  Well, I never let him lick me, maybe under my chin when I do say "kiss" but that's rare but today it was like he knew I was hurt and sad.  And this folks, is why my heart broke.  Dogs have a great sense when it comes to their owners...  They are loyal, they love you unconditional no matter how many times you yell at them.  Losing a pet is NEVER easy!  I keep telling myself I will not get another dog...but how could you not have one in your life?!!?!?!?  Anyhow, before I end, I wanted to post a picture of our sweet Minnie:

If you stayed to read my ramblings, thank you!  Hug your pets and your family, for we don't know how long we'll have them!  Aloha!

Well hello there!

I can't believe it's been since January since I've last posted! Wow! I can't say it's been super busy for me, but it's not like it's been mellow for me either.  Everything is a blur since I haven't really blogged.  I guess the good thing about blogging is remembering what you did and it's always nice to go back on old entries reading them.  I just wish I wasn't so lazy and devoted some time to blogging.  It hasn't been a priority and that bums me out.
Like I mentioned earlier, nothing really exciting has been going on.  Went on a few mini trips, decided not to go with dh to Japan last week (I know what a shocker!).  I had things here I needed to take care of and he kept going back and fourth on whether he'd be there for two days or longer.  I didn't think it was worth all that travel for two days.  Of course by the time he found out it would be a week, it was too late for me to get a good airline deal.  No biggie, to be honest I wasn't feeling a long trip nor was I itching to head back to Japan.  Don't know why, call me crazy or just getting too old.  Anyhow, I knew if I didn't go, dh would get me everything on my list and surprise me with other things.  And boy did he!  He got mostly everything on my list (the few he didn't get was in Tokyo and he didn't have time to go.  No worries because I was able to buy them off Amazon but had he gotten them it would have been way cheaper! Oh well...).  I will share (hopefully) some pics of the goodies when I get the chance.  But please don't hold your breathe as you know I'm not always good in keeping my promise when it comes to my blog.
Moving on...  I've been crafting here and there.  Mostly scrapping and usually I don't like sharing my pages w/journals because of privacy issues.  I have shared some online but that's because they were DT requirements.  I'll try to post a few of my Project Life layouts once in a while.  Yes, I decided to participate in it this year...it's a no hassle way for me to scrapbook, especially when I don't have the time to really do a proper layout.  I haven't done any cards in almost a year.  Well, maybe a few for some occasions but no real stamping cards...makes me sad.  I hope to do some in the near future and share on this cobweb infested blog of mine (^_^)
OK, I think that's all I have time for, I will  leave you w/a few pics of the happenings around here!  Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone is doing well and hope to visit all your blogs as time permits!

Working on Project Life:

Picking up my in-laws at LAX, did you know dogs are allowed in the baggage section?

Decided to be hip (my GOD-daughter thinks I'm so not hip by saying "hip" haha!) and paint my ring finger different color

PS - I will be posting some Sizzix dies for sale in a few days!  Please be on the lookout!

Catch Up

Happy New Year everyone! I know I'm only 11 days late! LOL!  But it's still the new year don't ya think? (^_<).  So how was/is everyone's new year?  Mine? Interesting to say the least. Lots of stuff going on, had family over for the holidays and life is slowly going back to normal (I hope!).  For those that are friends with me on FB, I recently deactivated it.  I just figured I needed a break and if I didn't deactivate it, I would log on while I was bored or waiting in the car to peek into the lives of my friends and I just wanted it to be like the good ole days.  I like to find out what's happening w/friends the old fashion way...you know, write, call or see them in person and catch up.  So I have no clue when or if I'll reactivate it.  Right now it's been nice, not knowing everyone's business or vice versa...LOL!  So if you were wondering, no, I didn't defriend you or block you (^_^)

OK, onto a few pictures to catch you up (I am posting pics from my phone, so some pictures may be grainy).

LO of my trip to Paris (more to come).  I decided to scrap the old fashion way...with actual paper and embellies that you can actually touch (^_^)

I'm so in love with AT's mini books and I just can't get enough!  Even though I know how to make these, I find it way more convenient to just grab me some of Amy's and scrap away.  I'll be using mine for my travel journals so I'm really excited to go on my next vacay...I'm hoping it'll be back to Japan springtime.  Crossing my fingers.

M got me the Cameo (which I absolutely love, love, love!) for Christmas/Bday...but who are we kidding? I'm buying some crafty stuff and playing the bday card, am I lucky to have a support and giving dh...hahaha!

I participated in Dec Daily and slowly putting it together.  Its a lot harder when you took pictures w/3 different cameras...sigh, why did I do that?

OK, I think that's all the pics I have on my phone...will try to post regularly.  Although, I've been super lazy to blog you can bet I won't be doing it on a daily basis.  Thanks for stopping by...hope to see and hear from all of you soon!

Hi!

Wow, it's been a month since I last blogged! So sorry! I did take pic everyday in Nov but haven't had time to upload. I'm also participating in Dec Daily.  That's coming along well.  Will share once I'm done. I don't have time to post everyday, especially with the holidays here and family coming this weekend.  Just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm still here...LOL! Oooh, I'm making some cute "to-go" favors for my Christmas party.  Will share when I figure out how to put together the last part.  OK, hope everyone is having a great December!

Hey there!

No project on today's post.  Same song and dance, I was busy with life.  I hope to get some crafting done today but I got a lot planned for my day...we'll see!  Also won't be able to craft as much for the next few months, something's come up and hopefully I will be able to squeeze some craft time here and there.  I will definitely have my weekly TGF Challenges and upcoming previews done, so please do check back from time to time cause there will at least be that posted on the blog.

I want to say I did my first Copics class and even though I wasn't nervous, I never liked teaching in fear that no one will learn a thing from me.  I guess I don't feel I have that "teaching" skill.  LOL!  But thankfully this class proved me wrong.  It was a hit and I plan on doing a few more classes!  I had fun, met lots of great women!  Joy of Joy of Crafting was in my second class.  I was a bit shocked!  LOL!  She was funny and I was so glad to have met her and the others!  Thanks ladies for making my first class a success, you all did wonderful!  I also want to thank my girl ManLe for giving me the opportunity to teach!  I may consider doing that when I move back to the mainland!  Who knows, we'll see!

If you stayed long enough to read all this, thank you!  I'll leave you with a pic of Roxy enjoying her day at the beach yesterday!  Aloha!

San Diego

Since I haven't had time to craft, I thought I'd post a LO! I love the simplicty of this LO and looking at it makes me miss San Diego. I absolutely love San Diego, but didn't realize it until we moved away. Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaii just as much...I guess maybe they're tied...hmm, not sure about that. If I knew dh didn't have to transfer I'd say lets stay here for good. However since that is not possible the next place I'd want to move to is back to San Diego. Really if you ask me my first choice would always be Yokosuka, Japan! But that's totally out of the question (@_@) so since we were so blessed to have had the opportunity to live here, I guess I'll make due with San Diego...LOL! I do miss the cold weather and yes folks San Diego can get pretty cold! And I miss spending Christmas there...it's just not the same here. Anyhow, I made this LO when I was still living in DC and missed San Diego terribly! Anyhow, thanks for allowing me to ramble...LOL! Here's the LO! TFL!

A Big THANK YOU!

Seriously, I'm so beyond words! I can't explain to you how much your support and well wishes really means to me! I'm speechless and beyond words! So happy that I have such a great support network! You guys are the best and for that, I'm truly honored! So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Before I forget, I did not realize that Jacilynn's blog link was entered in incorrectly. It has been fixed so please go to the post before this and click on it to view her blog.

Again thank you for your support. Sorry that I do not have a card or anything posted today. My throat is getting worse. Was out all day today driving some family friends around who are visiting the island. I am now on my second night of being on Nyquil and it's so affecting me right now. Better sign off before my typing gets worse!

Have a great day everyone...please check back, I will try and create something. If you don't see anything, that just means I decided to stay in bed and try to get better!

Aloha!
