Blk & White Challenge

I decided to participate in the Blk & White Challenge that Marie's having, which ends tonight, so if you want to participate, do it now! LOL! Here's my take on the sketch and color theme:

Sorry folks, I've been making my cards/projects late at night that when I post, I don't have time or forget to post the links or the supplies. So let me do so now...

I used a combination of DP from Nancy Kubo's and Mindy Terasawa's kit. Nancy's kit was a mini kit that was given free at one point...I tried a search but couldn't find it...I do believe that it has expired. However if I find it and it's not expired I will post a link to it. Mindy's kit is called Noir et Blanc and you can find it at DD.

Basically I just stamped my image (Dress Me set) on a 3.5 white CS, colored her with my gray Copics (I believed I used a combination of C3 and C7), added Martha Stewart glitter and then started to layer with Mindy, Nancy's and black CS. Tied a black SU! ribbon on the side and stamped the "Fabulous Friend" (Oval All stamp set) onto white CS, punched it out with SU! Large Oval punch and then punched out black CS with SU!'s Scallop punch. That's it! HTH! As usual thanks for stopping by!

Hula Sweetie - Crayon Holder

The person who originally created this called it a Crayon Holder, however I did not use this to hold crayons. Instead I used this holder to hold images that I will be sending out to a friend. I got this from Tammy's blog (who I totally lifted design wise cause it's too late and I'm still in a creative rut) who then linked to the original poster...click on Tammy's blog for tutorial and while you're there check out Tammy's great creations! Aloha from Hula Sweetie!

Finally got the Sweetie outlined. It took me awhile but I've done it. I still think I need to tweak a few things but wanted to create something with her. Still researching a few manufacturers and as soon as I find one that fits, the Sweeties will be produce into rubber stamps. Can't wait! Any who, here's my card for this Aloha Friday! TFS!

A Hui Hou

A while back my dh's cousin asked us to make a card for her brother who was heading to protect our country. I believe she was asking for a picture but I decided to make a card...I'm sure he did not want a picture of me and my dh so I may a card of all of us when we went to NYC. Along with this card my dh wrote his cousin a heartfelt letter. I'm not sure if he wants me to post so for now I will not post it. Anyhow, this was what I came up with. Again we were in NYC eating at Max Brenners (if you haven't been YOU HAVE TO GO!). Best dessert place I've been. We not only ordered dessert but breakfast...DELISH! TFS!

In the meantime...

So my creative block may be just towards creating cards cause I was having fun making these cute little purses/boxes (not really sure what to call them). I started off using the Fairest of them All (Imaginicse) but it was too small for what I needed it for. So I used same concept for the next purse/box except I did not enclose it. This will be given to my friend's dd who's visiting from Vegas. As usual, thanks for stopping by!

Uninspired

That should sum up how I've been feelin' lately. I mean, I've had plenty ideas but lately when I try to put my cards together they're not what I had in mind. I'm thinking I have a bit of a creative block going on right now and thinking maybe I should take a few days off of creating. I mean the card below isn't bad, but really, it isn't that great either. I'd like to say that I was rushing to make this grad card since my dh's going to the mainland and I lagged as usual...but I seriously doubt that's the case (OK, well it could have contributed). Any who, this is what I came up with. As usual thanks for stopping by even when my work is just all right...

Too funny!

I know this is not stamp related but I just had to share these pictures! Roxy and I went to my dh's work to swap cars and while we were waiting for dh, I looked over at her and saw her sitting like a human! I couldn't stop laughing! And before you ask, no, she's not in a car seat, she has a harness that has a seatbelt attached to it. Enjoy!

Surfer Ian - 09 Father's Day Card SP

I'm not feelin' this card! It's OK but it's not the greatest. I'm thinking its a bit busy. I wanted this to be for my FIL's Father's Day card...but since I'm not too happy with it. So we'll have to see. Don't you just hate it when you an idea in your head and it doesn't turn out that way? So I'm a bit frustrated but I'll post this anyways.

Decided to make this Post it Note Holder for the niece to match her purse and card.

Another Hula Anya Card

Needed to make another simple card. I couldn't send my friend a package without a card and since I'm sending her some treats, I wanted to use the Hula Anya for my card! I so think this stamp is perfect for those goodie packages filled with Aloha treats to my friends and relatives. TFL!

E komo mai (Welcome!) I just love this Hula Anya! Seriously Marie from TGF just can't go wrong in her designs! I hope I never get tired of my TGF stamps!!! Isn't she adorable? Anyhow, I used the same LO for Marie's challenge at TGF. I didn't enter, didn't have time. This is actually my second card. The first card has the same exact LO however, I used a busy background and the whole card just looked way too busy! So this is what I'm going with, will send the other to my non-stamping friends that are happy with anything I make!! LOL! Poor friends! Don't get me wrong, I like the other card but I'm just into simplicity when it comes to my card. Anyhow thanks for stopping by!

It's an Anniversary!

Made this card for my in-laws. It's late...sad to say I've fallen behind after doing so well with sending presents and cards (*o*) Seriously don't know why I'm laggin'! The card is a VERY simple card (my MIL does not like fancy-dancy). Believe it or not, I started this card the other night and I totally took a 180 turn from my original idea. You'd think if it took me that long to create it would have been spectacular...but it's not..its simple...but then again, that's how I like it (^o^). And yes for those of you that recognize the paper it's the Imaginicse paper Fairest of them All. I'm seriously trying to use up my scraps...got tons! Anyhow thanks for stopping by! Rockstar Anya Purse

A purse I made for my dh's niece for her 11th bday. I decided to make a purse just to be different. Inside are a coordinating card and gift card. I choose Rockstar Anya because she is so not a girlie-girl. She's into Guitar Hero and I thought Rockstar Anya was perfect for her. TFS!

Digi LO

Aloha! I was in the mood to do a LO since I haven't done one in sooo long! No journaling on here as I have yet to figure out what I'm gonna write about. Simple LO, but most of my LOs are. This is of me and my brother posing in front of the Hospital where our little sister was born (Margarita and Liann both gave birth here also!) and the place where Margarita (Ninette, I'm not sure if you did dance at the hospital but I think you did...correct me if I'm wrong) and I both preformed...I know weird but they had us perform for the patients and staff. Anyhow, I know it's nothing to most, but for me and my brother we were so excited just to be there!! LOL! TFL!

Jealous of Jen!

LOL! Seriously I am jealous of Jen of Jenny's Creations! She recently visited Japan and even though I was just there this past Dec, I still wished I was there last week too! LOL! Anyhow, looking at Jen's pictures reminding me of the missing piece in my heart (how dramatic am I? LOL) so I decided to share a few of my Japan pictures here on my Stampin' blog. I promise this won't be something I'll post often but just wanted to share a part of me that I don't often do on this blog. Mother's Day Card

I know you're a bit surprised but yes, I do own other stamps besides TGF stamps...LOL! Altho I have to say they are by far my favorite stamps right now! But with today's cards, I decided to use one of my favorite SU! stamps for my Mother's Day Cards. This card was totally lifted from Chat of Me, Myself and I. It's exactly the same except for the color. I just love her style and loved how she used the Eastern Blossom set. I think I may lift more cards from her because her work is absolutely gorgeous! If you haven't seen her work check it out!

2. Hula Sweetie number 2 (below) is not for sale as that is my personal Sweetie.
3. If interested in a Sweetie whether it be a Hula Sweetie or regular Sweetie email me your choice - pick the Sweetie to the corresponding number (I can change hair or clothing color if you'd like). I will then send you a Paypal invoice for payment of $5, once payment has been received I will then send you the Sweetie file in .png and .tiff file.

Hawaiian Sweeties

Case'd that Anya

I decided to participate in the Case'd that Anya going on. I always try to participate but always forget to submit. Anyhow, I finished this card early and will be uploading it to the gallery after this post (hopefully I won't forget). I love participating in these challenges, it forces me to make a card so I will always have one on hand for those special occasions. I hate not having a card on hand and I hate it even more if I have to make one last minute, my work usually tends to suffer. Anyhow that's my number one priority and if I win the prizes are just an added bonus (^o*)

New TGF Annika and a card from Tammy

A card I made for my cousin Lyn, whom I haven't seen in over 20 years only to find out she moved to the same town as my parents! I know, weird and long story! Basically she use to live in the Philippines and moved two towns away from my folks (after I had moved away) and whenever I'd come home to visit it would be such a short visit that I'd never get to see anyone but my parents so needless to say I was so happy to see her, her brother, his family and her cousin (a cousin from her dad side that I'm also close with) when I was home this past April. Anyhow, her birthday is tomorrow (I'm late sending it!) and I wanted to make her a little something. TFL!

Thank You for Joy

I made this little treat bag for Joy of Tamiko's yesterday as a little thank you for being such a sweet person and for her great customer service! If you guys haven't visited Joy's blog or store, you should! Her blog is filled with gorgeous creations and her store has great stuff! She carries, The Greet Farm stamps, Pink Cat Studios, Pink Paislee, C.C. Designs, Dandelion Designs and Stampendous stamps along with a bunch of embellishments and craft goodies!! Anyhow this little treat bag idea came from Paper Pleasing Ideas, I had to alter it a bit for some reason my measurements weren't coming out right so I played around until I got it just right. Inside are Jelly Belly's that I got from the Jelly Belly Factory from back home. Yes, the JB Factory is where my parents lives. I never use to go there when I was living there but of course as soon as I moved away I would always go there to visit. The thing is, I don't like jelly beans...haha! But it's so neat visiting the place. I do buy the candies for dh's co-workers and for friends but I never really eat them. They do have their own M&M type candies that are delicious! Two cards I made this evening...had lots of fun using my new Hello Kitty Dies. When I went to buy them at J's I didn't realize they were tiny. I thought they'd be the same size as the first HK dies...to my delight they weren't and they were so much cheaper!!!
