Happy New Year everyone! I know I'm only 11 days late! LOL! But it's still the new year don't ya think? (^_<). So how was/is everyone's new year? Mine? Interesting to say the least. Lots of stuff going on, had family over for the holidays and life is slowly going back to normal (I hope!). For those that are friends with me on FB, I recently deactivated it. I just figured I needed a break and if I didn't deactivate it, I would log on while I was bored or waiting in the car to peek into the lives of my friends and I just wanted it to be like the good ole days. I like to find out what's happening w/friends the old fashion way...you know, write, call or see them in person and catch up. So I have no clue when or if I'll reactivate it. Right now it's been nice, not knowing everyone's business or vice versa...LOL! So if you were wondering, no, I didn't defriend you or block you (^_^)

OK, onto a few pictures to catch you up (I am posting pics from my phone, so some pictures may be grainy).

LO of my trip to Paris (more to come). I decided to scrap the old fashion way...with actual paper and embellies that you can actually touch (^_^)

I'm so in love with AT's mini books and I just can't get enough! Even though I know how to make these, I find it way more convenient to just grab me some of Amy's and scrap away. I'll be using mine for my travel journals so I'm really excited to go on my next vacay...I'm hoping it'll be back to Japan springtime. Crossing my fingers.

M got me the Cameo (which I absolutely love, love, love!) for Christmas/Bday...but who are we kidding? I'm buying some crafty stuff and playing the bday card, am I lucky to have a support and giving dh...hahaha!

I participated in Dec Daily and slowly putting it together. Its a lot harder when you took pictures w/3 different cameras...sigh, why did I do that?

Wow, it's been a month since I last blogged! So sorry! I did take pic everyday in Nov but haven't had time to upload. I'm also participating in Dec Daily. That's coming along well. Will share once I'm done. I don't have time to post everyday, especially with the holidays here and family coming this weekend. Just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm still here...LOL! Oooh, I'm making some cute "to-go" favors for my Christmas party. Will share when I figure out how to put together the last part. OK, hope everyone is having a great December!

Day 7 - Everyday: This is pretty much my everyday. I start off the day on the computer and chat with my girl Leslie and then I have lunch and do some house work or whatever needs to be taken care of. Excuse the mess!

One of the classes I took from Amy Tangerine was how to create her famous tshirts...here are my two takes. Please keep in mind, I sooo do not know how to sew! Be kind (^_^)

Sorry folks, I didn't get to post yesterday's photo. It was pouring rain and well, rain makes me super lazy. Even though I had two baskets of laundry to fold, I opted to just lay on the couch and catch up on some shows. (^_^) Of course by the time 6:30 PM came around I was scrambling to get ready to pick up dh from the airport and run a few errands. Let me tell you, it was not fun driving in the rain at all! It was that bad!

Day 4 - what you wore:

Funny about these rain boots...people (and my friends) were going crazy over the designer of these boots. I forgot what they're called but I've been meaning to get rain boots and when I saw these on sale for only $14 I just had to get them. Sure they're funky but really, how often would I wear them? It's not like I'm living in Washington State or London [but hey, if dh gets a job there, I'll be prepared (^_~)] Anyhow, they really kept my feet and pants from getting wet cause like I said earlier, it was a downpour!

Confession - I don't make my bed everyday. I know I should to prove to the hubby I do some housework while he's at work. But why bother sometimes when I know I'll be taking a nap in it? hahaha! They say (and I have to agree) when you make your bed right when you get up should starts your day in the right direction. I totally agree with that 100%. So with that being said, my days don't go quite right all the time (^_^). Moving on...here's my picture.

I'm actually using my iPhone for all my pictures. Yup, I'm THAT lazy to bust out with the DSLR. Plus the

iPhone 4S has an awesome camera!

As promised, here are the LOs we did at Amy Tangerine's class. So glad my friend Jenny asked me to go...it was worth it and this time the class was a lot smaller so chatting and crafting was way more easier.

I think I need to add something more to the last LO, something's missing. But for now, I'll keep it that way until I can think of what to add. Love Amy's style and her product line! If any of you get the chance to take her class I highly recommend it!

...since I last blogged! Wowzer! Lots happening around here I hadn't had time to blog or do much in the crafting world. But I'm sort of back...we'll see. I'll post more about what's been going on, including my fabulous trip to Europe a few weeks ago.

This past weekend I took Amy Tangerine's class at our LSS. I totally loved it. I had taken a class of hers online and learned so much from her. Anyhow here are some pics of the class. If you think her mini album looks familiar its because I did one here.

Wow, two post in one week! That's a first in a long time for me! Another card made for a friend... Again, simple, simple, simple. I'm sure you can tell I'm not that into too many embellishments. I guess you can say that about myself. I'm not into jewelry, always feel less is more. That's just me...

Hopefully, I can post some of the mini albums I've been working on. I'm so into the travel journals, made some for myself and my sister. She's going to NYC and likes my mini road trip one and I thought I'd make her one for her trip. What I love about these mini journals is that you can take it with you and document your travels right then and there. Before I'd collect all my memorabilia and by the time I'd get home I'd forgot where and when I got them. Sometimes I don't like adding them into my actual scrapbook but want them as a souvenir. The mini journals are perfect for that! I'm in the process of making my London journal...so excited for my trip! Hopefully I'll run into the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge while I'm visiting (^_^) hahaha! Wishful thinking! OK, gotta go bed, got a long day tomorrow. Have a great Friday!

...missed a week of bloggin! LOL! Not that I have a lot of followers or anything..haha! A lot was going on...once again crafting took a backseat. Finally got the new AC installed. So this chick is a happy camper! Anyhow, I forgot all that has happen last week so I can't even recap on it. LOL! Getting old is no fun!

Any who, I did however manage to make four cards these last few days...yup, you all read that correctly - FOUR cards! I still have to make a couple more. Sad thing, I was making a bunch of thank you cards and totally forgot to make my parents a card and today is their anniversary! Yikes! Actually forgot about it until my bro reminded me yesterday. Sigh! Not good! Anyhow, let me share the card I made for a friend. It's just a very simple card and I actually like it...don't know why cause its super simple as you can see.

I used Bree from TGF and can you believe I've never inked her up?!? Actually there are quite a few TGF stamps that has yet to be inked! Anyhow, I love using old stamps. Especially when everyone and their mother are using all the new ones and you see them everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE.

Roxy's 1st Book

Thanks so much for stopping by, I know I don't have a lot going on but it means a lot that I have a couple of people visiting. Also want to thank everyone who sent their well wishes on Roxy's recovery. She's doing great! She's tryin' to walk and it looks funny but expected. Doesn't look like she wants or can bend at the knees, but that'll come in time. She's not allowed to jump on the beds, couches or stairs. Wish me luck because those are all the places she's usually on!

Check back next week (hopefully!) I will have some blog giveaway. And hopefully some card creations! Now that Roxy's doing better and the humidity going away (slowly), I can bare to be in my studio and create! Yeay!

My poor baby!

No creative post for this week or maybe even for the next few weeks. I am on nurse duty. My little baby had surgery on her two back knees this past Monday. She's slowly recovering, but today I notice a little swelling on her left leg. Please say a prayer that it's nothing serious. I will be taking her to the Vets tomorrow morning. Hoping it's nothing and just part of the healing process. I'm taking her in because they say if there's swelling to take her in. So hope it's just a precautionary thing they do.

Here's some pictures of her progression from Monday night till today:

This was the first night we brought her home. Wish the pic wasn't so dark, you would have seen her tongue sticking out. It was cute and sad at the same time. We had a bit of a rough night with her because she was in pain and uncomfortable. She woke up every hour and we figured it was because she wanted us to turn her to her other side, she's usually a restless sleeper so once we did that she was fine.

Tuesday morning, she looked miserable. But earlier we had given her her pain meds and she went right to sleep after we gave it to her. It was adorable because she wanted to sleep on my chest so we both got a good three hour sleep.

This was taken after we came from the vets, he removed two of her bandages and she was a happy camper. He also gave her a bigger cone since the other one was way too small and she was able to lick her stitches.

This was taken today, since we didn't have to go to the vets nor were there any service people coming to the house I decided it would be a stay in bed day. She and I hung out together all day keeping one another company. She's such a great dog and an even better companion. She's always entertaining me, even if she's not feeling well. Gotta love her!

That's it for now...again, if you don't mind saying a prayer for her, we'd really appreciate it! Have a Blessed Day!

Obsession!

Oh wow, where did the week go? I don't even remember what I did this week! Seriously, I don't remember! LOL! I know a lot of it has to be because of dh's uncle. BTW, thank you all for the prayers!!! GOD was really listening and our uncle is progressing slowly but surely! So BIG THANKS to everyone!!!

Today's post is about a few of the things I am obsessed about! It's a hodge-podge of stuff. This first pic is an order of my Smash Book goodies! They forgot to send me my black one (which is on backorder) I'll get that later in June or is it July? I also got a red one from Paper Source, each book as a different things in it. I just love this line! It's so cool! I ordered extra pens/glue so I can make my own Smash Books. It's a pretty neat book!

I'm so into mini scrapbooking! I have yet to finish my Hawaii - California book, I'll get to it soon, but I did create one of our little Road Trip a few weekends ago...check below for some pics!

Still need to finish it up but here are the first few pages.

Lastly, you know I love me some washi tape. Got these goodies from the Japanese bookstore from Little Tokyo:

Onto my card.. This was made for dh's niece who had her 1st Communion the day before my in-law's 50th Anniversary. As you can see from past post, I've had celebrations almost every weekend. So even though it may not look as though I've been crafting, I have. Just not as much as before but I've done some stuff here and there. Anyhow, simple, simple card...

PS - Could I please ask for prayers for my dh's Uncle who's in ICU. A few months ago he was diagnosed with lung cancer. They operated and took the tumors our but this weekend he wasn't his normal self and they found a massive tumor in his brain. Hello! Yes, I know, I rarely post...still busy...what's new! I have family still here, tons of family parties on the weekends...and no time for crafting or fixing my house..boohooh. LOL! So this'll be a quick post, gotta eat brunch and then head out to take my mom to the Commissary and where ever else she needs to go...

Made these favors for my Auntie's 60th bday. These house Bath and Body's Antibacterial Hand gels. She had a "Royal" theme...hats and all. Me and my cousin were lucky BB had a Royal theme also, perfect for the celebration! A big Aloha to everyone! Yeah, I know my post have been far and few, I'm hoping things slow down but as it looks, that's not going to happen for quite a while. My family was in town they just left but plan on returning soon. In-laws have a big anniversary so that means tons of family and friends will be in town. House is still not 100%, I wanna say 50% done. It's taken me longer because either M is gone or he gets home late and I don't wanna bother him. A lot of the stuff I need help is moving the boxes around (too heavy for me.) Hopefully this coming weekend we can focus on the garage, separate the garage sale items and unpack most of the other boxes. My studio is slowly getting there. We're waiting for the glass to go on top of my desk and once that's done I can put everything together (hopefully). Will post pics as soon as everything is in place.

Mini Album

It's been a while since I've scrapbook, let alone something for me. Usually I'm doing an album as a present or Scrapbook For Hire. But lately I've been itching to do something for me. Before I left the islands, I wanted to document my last few days up until Jan/Feb timeframe. So I've decided to do a mini album the traditional way. I still love doing digi LOs, but miss doing the traditional way. While living on the island, I realize that the locals are more into card making than scrapbooking. Of course since I was surrounded by them I focused my skills on card making and pretty much left scrapbooking on the back burner. But now that I'm back I've been on a mission to scrap. So this is where I'm at. It's not my usual scrapping style but I wanted it to be a bit primitive as if I was scrapping it at that moment (I regret not doing it at the time...pretty much didn't have any time those last few days) so I'm trying to recreate the album as if it just happen...whatever supplies I had on hand. It's not the prettiest but it's what was suppose to be in "real time". The only thing I regret was not saving some memorabilia's and those I've saved I can't seem to find at the moment. So that's why there are some blank spaces. I hope to add them in when I find those that I remembered to save. I hope to do more travel scrapbooks. I think this is a good jumping off point, as it'll help me determine what I need to pack as far as supplies and what I need to collect for my pages throughout the trips.

Oh, I wanted to share this cool software that I got where I could printout Polaroid pics (the ones showing in the above pics was created using my Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese set).

OK, that's all I have, not much but hey, its something. Sorry for the crappy pics, but I took them using my phone. Yeah, I'm that lazy to bust out the big ole DSLR(^o^) Thanks for stopping by!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. As usual M and I ran errands all weekend. It's hard having one car. I mean there are pro's and con's to it. Pro, I get to stay home and fix the place up and not spend. Con, I have to stay home and can't run errands. LOL! So that means weekends are always busy running around trying to take care of everything I wasn't able to do during the week. Who knows when we'll get the new car. We've been on a waiting list forever and I'm just tired of the whole process. Oh well, there are way more less unfortunate people then me. It's not that bad. Just an inconvenience. Moving on...

Today's card is featured using Twirl Anya. I think she's so adorable. Tryin' to make as many cards as I can so I won't be late for the next bday. So here's a head start.

Oooh, last Friday I received the new Copic colors! So excited even if I won't have time to color, having them in my hands just makes me so happy! LOL! It's the small things I tell ya!

Happy Aloha Friday everyone! I hope you all got to watch the youtube video. I pray to GOD it doesn't happen but if it does we will all be better prepared. I still have to finish putting my emergency bag together and buy Roxy some dog food. I don't normally give her dog food but for emergency cases, dog food would have to do.

Anyhow, I had to quickly make this Wedding card for dh's Deputy. I opted to use SU!s Fifth Avenue Flora (this is has to be one of my favorite SU! stamp sets.) because I don't think she would like an Anya based card...I'd save my TGF for close family, friends and nieces...LOL! This had to be a bit more elegant. I usually try to go simple when it comes to Wedding and Sympathy cards. I definitely think less is more. Anyhow, here's my card. Thanks for stopping by! Its Been Awhile...

...I'm slowly getting my crafting groove back. It's been a tough three months. With dh on travel a lot, loss of one car and unpacking by myself...well, crafting has definitely taken a backseat. Needless to say, all my bday cards are late! (o_O)

Tonight I was able to create/finish three cards. I'll showcase them one day at a time...LOL! Sorry, but if I didn't do that, I wouldn't have any other post after this...haha!

All right, without further ado, here is today's card:

I used TGF's newest Creepin Creeper Crew Collection 1 set, which you can order at Pineapple Cove. I love this set, it has a total of 7 Creeper Crew Characters and 8 Saying/Quotes. I also used Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese set. I absolutely love this set. It has an old style Polaroid Camera and Polaroid film. There are soo many ideas floating in my head on how to use this set. Oh and I also used TE's Pennant and Pennant die. I think that's it. Leave me a comment or email me if you have any questions on any of the products I used.

He's only 4 years old, weighs about 65 pounds, and is reddish/brown and black (looks like a german shepherd with a Rottie head), real friendly n' loves people. Hi all! It's been a while! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that your New Year started off with a big bang! Lots of stuff going around at the Islander Girl household. One of which is our household location has relocated...LOL! We are slowly settling back to life here and I have been s-l-o-w-l-y unpacking. I say slowly as the dh is away for a month. Which of course means unpacking is obviously resting solely on my shoulders (until he gets back). Other than movin there had been a couple of obstacles (no worries, I will not go into details...). Crafting has definitely been on the back burner. I don't know quite when I will be able to craft, all my craft supplies are still in boxes waiting for my studio to be built next month (to say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement).

Made this card for my tenants who take such great care of my house on the mainland. I wished they'd get stationed here so they can rent this house after we leave. But unfortunately they got orders elsewhere. Boohoo! LOL! Anyhow, I made this card for them as a thank you for taking card of the house and whatever issues it has. Cutesy Critter Halloween favor boxes

Wow, blogging two days in a row! Wanted to get these done early for Mindy cause I know I won't have that much time come Halloween. I'm exhausted and I don't really want to write too much. I am the worst writer ever and when I'm tired it's even worse (if you can imagine). So without further ado, here are two of the three boxes I made. I may make one or two more.

I created these favor boxes where you can either insert a photo or cut out a window. I know the candies doesn't go well with the Halloween theme but I am NOT buying any Halloween candies yet! I was tempted since Target has all the Halloween stuff out already! But I was good and I resisted (^o^)☺

I know it may seem like I'm not but I am. I have been creating, just not as often as I would like. Uploading the pictures is another step, one that I cannot get myself to do lately :( So I thought I'd post a picture of what I created for Pineapple Cove using the Hello Kitty stamps. I think they are just way too adorable. I knew exactly what I wanted to create off the bat. As usual, I swiped the pic from PC's blog. ...just been busy and lazy all at the same time. I know, how's that possible? Don't know but I've that is whats truly going on in my live. My post will get fewer and far between until next year. But please do check back from time to time cause I will post when I can (if laziness doesn't win).

Oh and have you noticed they're already coming out with Halloween designs...crazy! It's only August and CC Designs has their Halloween line out! Wowzer! I made these favor samples for Pineapple Cove. I don't normally give Halloween cards but we all make/do Halloween favors. I have to say Halloween is one of my favorite holidays besides Christmas! So here are a couple of favors I made...will post more throughout the week (if I can get to it)

Pirates of the Caribbean in Hawaii!

Sorry but I'm too lazy to upload pics from my camera to my computer...so I thought I'd take a craft break and post about some exciting things happening on the islands. Not only are we fortunate enough to live in paradise, BUT we are lucky to have a couple of big Hollywood movie and show filming here! Two that I can think of at the moment which are Pirates of the Caribbean and the New Hawaii 5-0! Both of the main stars are my a couple of my favorite actors and thrilled to have them both on the island! Hope to run into either one or even better...both! ha! Fat chance, but you never know!

Anyhow, we had breakfast on the windward side of the island a couple of weekends ago and noticed the Black Pearl at Kbay... Exciting isn't it? I have more pics, but like I said earlier I'm too lazy and for now, you're only getting one pic...lol!

Candy bar holder

CASE'd this candy bar holder from Michelle. She gave me a candy bar holder a few months ago and I absolutely loved it. Anyhow, I made this holder for one of the ladies that works at a LSS. I rarely see her at the store so I wanted to make sure to give this to her as a thank you for all her help. Inside the holder is a yummy banana chocolate that dh got from Japan.

I haven't inked up my Mermaid Anya since I got her. And I wanna say I've had her for two years now! Wow! That's tellin' you I have way too many stamps! Yikes! Anyhow, I made this card for my sis who's bday is next week. I know, unbelievable I'm actually early AND I have her bday present all ready to mail! Yeay! That's a first for me! LOL!

Our Last Challenge...

its bittersweet but we knew it was coming. This is our last challenge for TGF. I had tons of working with TGF and the DT gals! So many inspiration came out of this AND I got to complete a whole album! Woohoo!

Onto my LO... I created the background paper using the stars from the In the Spotlight kit, repeated the stars as the accent. I also used the stitch border from the Sunshine kit. There are so many things you can do with these kits! Here's my take on my girl Jaci's sketch:

....isn't it just way too adorable? OMG, I nearly fell out of my seat when I took this baby out of the envelope! This card was given to me by my dear friend Robyn. I was very lucky to have met her. She is the sweetest person. I will really miss her on our playdates and when I move back to the mainland! Robyn's last day crafting with us was last week. She's a teacher and she starts work next week so she'll no longer be playing with us. ☹ I hope from time to time she'll be able to hang out with us! Can you believe that I've had Stella for quite a while now...in fact, I think I've had her from when she was first release from TGF. This is the first time I've actually inked her up and created a card with her! I have so many TGF stamps that have yet to be used! As most of you know I'm a huge fan of TGF and really honored to be part of the TGF family. I could never get tired of any of the characters!

About the card, I used Kaiser Craft dp and Hey Birdie Clear Stamp, washi tape, Tim Holtz die, Hero Arts sentiment (just because...) and of course Stella from TGF. Everything except for the washi tape and Tim Holtz die are avail at Pineapple Cove.

I have a few more cards to make for PC using other Kaiser Craft dp, so be on the look out! Mahalo and hope everyone has a great Aloha Friday!

Today's TGF Sketch LO was provided by me. I I literally had no time to do my LO. I thought it was just too plain (really simple is my style but this was just flat out plain) Without going into details, lets just say when it rains it pours and it did so this week. Nothing serious just a lot of stuff happening and I totally forgot about my dental appointment...so with that said, my LO suffered. I added the palm tree to spruce it up a bit. Seriously, when I say I like my LOs simple, I meant it as you can see. LOL!

Doesn't this bag resemble a Louis Vuitton purse? When I saw ManLe's email about what today's project was I was over the moon! This cute little purse would make such a cute Bridal Shower or Birthday party favor, don't you think? I absolutely love it. Now the other ladies decided to go with a different dp/cs but I choose to stay with the same color as ManLe's sample. I like how it really resembles a LV purse. ...lol! I crack up every time I read the names of these mermaids. The names are weird, but the mermaids are so pretty! Made this card for Pineapple Cove using Kaiser Kraft dp, CC Designs Shimmer Redkelp and Celebrate sentiment from Hero Arts. All available at Pineapple Cove (except for the oval and scallop punch). TGF - Time-less LO Challenge

Aloha! It's Thursday and that could only mean it's TGF Challenge time! Challenge theme is to use Time, clock. watch anywhere in your LO. This was a hard one for me but I pushed through and finished my LO barely in time (no pun intended). Literally I was running out the door as soon as I scanned and sent my LO off to Jessica! Whew, it was definitely a close one today!

So you wanna play along? Simply Upload a layout using TGF Stamps that uses a TIME theme-aka clocks, watches, and other elements of time into your layout! It doesn't HAVE to be SUMMER time, either, but we all used our new Sunshine kit so SUMMERTIME it was! Just use TGF Stamps and incorporate TIME.

Aloha Friday!! I made this card for my BFF Cindie. It's a big bday for her (won't say how old) but it's one of those milestone birthdays. Her actual birthday isn't until Aug, but I wanted to get her birthday gift to her ASAP cause she decided not to have a party or anything special done on her birthday. All she wanted was a certain expensive thing (I won't say what). Anyhow, the gift I was initially planning on buying her fell through and I can't get it until I go back to Japan, I thought getting her a GC to this certain store to help w/her purchase would be the next best thing! Like I mentioned earlier, I needed to send it to her ASAP since I have no idea when she was planning on getting it. Was it before her special day or after?? So since the dh was heading to her neck of the woods for work, I rushed to make the card and to get her gift. Figuring out what stamp image to use for her bday card was hard. She's not into crafts and she's not into saving cards (yeah, yeah, I know...why am I friends with her? Let alone her bff? LOL!). But I figured she is after all my bff, it is a special birthday AND she sees what I make for everyone else so...I just had to make her a card! I used one of my all time favorite stamps right now...Treasure Tempestwind! LOL, yeah I know...an odd name but I think these mermaids (her and her sisters) are sooo pretty! If you don't have these stamps yet, let me tell you...they're huge! So fitting them on an A2 (is that the size of standard card?) is not that easy espeically when you wanna show the dp behind it. Anyhow, I just love these mermaid images!

Here's my take (I turned it around)

This LO is about our time at Tokyo Disney Sea! We had just gotten off their water ride, which was so needed cause the humidity in Japan was horrendous! If I could I would have stayed on that ride the entire day! We were soaking wet, you could see it on Cyn and Steph's shirt but not on mine since I was wearing black. We definitely had so much fun that day even if we were all miserable in the humidity!

Of course I used the Sunshine kit for this LO along with Mindy Terasawa's Sun Shiney Day kit. I stamped the flowers on the bottom, used the stitch stamp along the borders of my LO and I also used the Smiley flowers as embellishments.

Made this card for my GOD Daughter Cass. I owe her last years birthday pres, Christmas, 6th grade grad so I couldn't or didn't think it was appropriate to make her a card for all those occasion and decided to just make a universal card. Call it lazy or procrastinating but I at least made her a card.

As of right now, this little cutie is my favorite out of the Farm line! I thinks she's so adorable and thought it would be perfect for Cass. Since I see Fleur more Hawaiian than an Enchanted little cutie, I thought what a perfect card from me to her! Blah, blah, blah, blah! haha! I'm exhausted, it's well pass midnight and I have a long and early day tomorrow! So without further ado here's the card (lifted the LO from the Artist behind the Farm)

Happy Thursday! It's TGF Challenge time! Sorry for posting this late. I went to the dentist yesterday and after I got home I wasn't feelin' up to it. They redid my old fillings and my body's metabolisim was on overdrive and they needed to numb me SEVERAL times. I don't mind the shots, I just kept feelin' the drilling...yikes! Needless to say I wasn't feelin' all to well afterwards and was in bed the whole night!

TGF Summer LO Challenge!

Hey folks! It's Challenge time at the Farm! Our challenge was to create a summer theme LO. I just love summer and living in Hawaii, we have that year round.

I created this LO of my dad and my sister at the famous Waikiki beach. They were visiting during Christmas (see...I wasn't joking about our summers being year round...LOL). Going to the beach with my dad was a milestone because he had suffered a stroke and heart attach eight months prior. It's a slow and long recovery but he's making it and I thank GOD everyday for this miracle!!!

Please join us and create a LO with a summer theme! Easy-peasy! I'm sure since most of you have kids on summer vacation already and if you're a scrapper you've already busted out the camera! LOL! Not much time...

Aloha! Sorry been MIA since last Friday. From here on out who knows when I'll be able to post. I'm a bit sad I won't be able to create and blog as often as I would like but what can you do? Hopefully once everything is all done I can get back into the groove. But until then, I'll at least have two or three (if I'm lucky) updates on my the blog. Onto my card, this card is for my dh's niece. Seems like this is my go to LO when I when I'm in a hurry. It's cool...I don't mind. I'm just happy I get to create something!

Coaster Bag

The other day we had a playdate at Pineapple Cove and we made this cute little Coaster Bag. I have to say, whenever I'm there I never really make anything or finish a project but I was so into it I made two. Actually I didn't finish them cause we were missing the bags so I had to finish it at home (I rarely finish a project if I take home) and this is the outcome:

I have another one in the works but I'm not making it a bag...stay tune (like I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat waiting to see what I come up with...NOT! LOL!). The paper I used was from Leslie's pile (thanks Leslie!). I just thought it was just the cutest dp!

No project on today's post. Same song and dance, I was busy with life. I hope to get some crafting done today but I got a lot planned for my day...we'll see! Also won't be able to craft as much for the next few months, something's come up and hopefully I will be able to squeeze some craft time here and there. I will definitely have my weekly TGF Challenges and upcoming previews done, so please do check back from time to time cause there will at least be that posted on the blog.

I want to say I did my first Copics class and even though I wasn't nervous, I never liked teaching in fear that no one will learn a thing from me. I guess I don't feel I have that "teaching" skill. LOL! But thankfully this class proved me wrong. It was a hit and I plan on doing a few more classes! I had fun, met lots of great women! Joy of Joy of Crafting was in my second class. I was a bit shocked! LOL! She was funny and I was so glad to have met her and the others! Thanks ladies for making my first class a success, you all did wonderful! I also want to thank my girl ManLe for giving me the opportunity to teach! I may consider doing that when I move back to the mainland! Who knows, we'll see!
