Hey there!

No project on today's post.  Same song and dance, I was busy with life.  I hope to get some crafting done today but I got a lot planned for my day...we'll see!  Also won't be able to craft as much for the next few months, something's come up and hopefully I will be able to squeeze some craft time here and there.  I will definitely have my weekly TGF Challenges and upcoming previews done, so please do check back from time to time cause there will at least be that posted on the blog.

I want to say I did my first Copics class and even though I wasn't nervous, I never liked teaching in fear that no one will learn a thing from me.  I guess I don't feel I have that "teaching" skill.  LOL!  But thankfully this class proved me wrong.  It was a hit and I plan on doing a few more classes!  I had fun, met lots of great women!  Joy of Joy of Crafting was in my second class.  I was a bit shocked!  LOL!  She was funny and I was so glad to have met her and the others!  Thanks ladies for making my first class a success, you all did wonderful!  I also want to thank my girl ManLe for giving me the opportunity to teach!  I may consider doing that when I move back to the mainland!  Who knows, we'll see!

If you stayed long enough to read all this, thank you!  I'll leave you with a pic of Roxy enjoying her day at the beach yesterday!  Aloha!

Under the weather...still (*o*)

Yup folks, I'm still a bit sick.  At first it was a sore throat then I thought it was just allergies but now I'm thinking I'm just sick w/a cold or mild case of the flu?  Who knows.  I just need to get over this cause it's getting old!  So needless to say I wanted to stay home all weekend and thats what we did.  Watched a bunch of movies and relaxed.  I did however get to create a few cards.  I'm just making a bunch of cards right now because as you know I'm always late...so now I'm not! ha! LOL!

Made this card using the oh so cute Miss Fleur Anya.  I absolutely adore this image.  At first I thought she was a Hula Anya...like a more fancier one...but everyone says she looks more enchanted...I see it now...but I like to think of her as another Hula Anya.  Used my all time favorite DP by my girl Mindy Terasawa.  You'll see me using it often.  That's how much I love it and I have yet to get tired of it.  If you look carefully I used some washi tape behind the ribbon...I just love those tapes!!!  I gotta get more when I go back to Japan!

As always thanks for stopping by!  Check back tomorrow for the next TGF Challenge!  Aloha!

Sick...

Haven't had much time to craft, been sick since Tuesday and even though I've been sick I still have to run errands, so it was really nice to just lay on the couch all day yesterday and wish I could do it today but I have to go to the PO to mail some packages and run a few more errands.  I convinced M that maybe this weekend we can just stay in and resume our Hawaii outings for next weekend.  With that said, I don't have any crafts to share so I'm sharing one of my favorite pics from my friend Corinna's photo session.  For those that don't know I do family portraits and most of my clients are from back home and I took a break from my photography business.  I will resume when I move back to SD...or unless I have a request while I'm here.  Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy the pic (^o^)

TGF Challenge - Color Challenge

Aloha!  We have another TGF Challenge going on! Here's my LO...yes, some of the pics are a bit blurry but hey, sometimes those are the photos you get.  Anyhow this is of my precious Avery on Christmas 2006.  I believe this was his last Christmas where he was himself (Christmas 07 was his last and he wasn't well).  Anyhow, this is about him opening his present...I think I'll make something like this for this year's card...we'll see.  I'll have to change it up a bit but I think it'll be similar to this style.  I used the TGF In the Spotlight butterfly for background, used the arrow stamp for the tree and of course I had to use Christmas Ian!

These were the colors we had to use.  Upload your Layout or 3D item to TGF GALLERIA>Scrapbooking Kit>Contests/Challenges>Better in Color

Create a Critter Project 1

Aloha! It's Monday...which is usually my rest day where I don't do a thing! LOL!  Weekends are usually busy soaking in the Hawaii atmosphere, taking advantage of this beautiful island cause my time here is now limited.  I will definitely miss this wonderful place, but I also miss the mainland and being "accessible" to everything that I so dearly miss.  I know when I'm gone, I will miss the food and weather but I think I miss my family and the holidays with cold weather more.  Believe me, I never thought I'd want to move back to the mainland but I do.  I will keep my house here so visiting will be a regular for me.  Anyhow...I'm not leaving yet but I'm tryin' to fit in as much as I could so I can say I didn't waste my time here.  (Wow, check out how many time I used "miss"! LOL!)

Before I forget, I wanted to wish all the mother's,  grandmother's, guardians and anyone who has to be in that position of taking care of someone a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!  I should have posted this greeting yesterday but I was out both days this weekend and computer time was pretty much nil!

OK, enough about me...  I've been dying to use my Create a Critter and saw some notebooks at Stamps and Memories and loved them!  I lifted the idea but used it on the mini composition books.  I love how it turned out.  It's simple (what's new) but thought it turned out cute (at least for me it's cute...ha!)

I can't wait to make more of these for my nieces!  Me and a couple of my gf's are getting together to do a mini composition session.  LOL!  I will be sure to post some of them!  If you haven't already bought yourself the Create a Critter cartridge, what are you waiting for? LOL!

Oooohhhhh, before I forget I wanted to post this card that my gf Margarita made for me, dh and Roxy.  I love the simplicity of it...sometimes we get caught up tryin' to add all the embellishments that we forget that sometimes less is more.  Look how beautiful her card is!  Thanks chick!

Just to show you how lazy I am, I took this photo off her site...hahahaha!

It's Friday!

Aloha! This is gonna be a short post.  Made this card for one of my bff who happens to also be my GOD sister.  Her birthday was on Cinco de Mayo!  Yes, yes, I'm late! LOL!  As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

TGF Challenge - Mother's Day LO

OK, so today's post was suppose to be my TGF Challenge which was to create a LO for Mother's Day.  I misread the email and did next week's Challenge instead! I worked on it all night last night and was so proud I had it submitted earlier than I normally submit my LOs.  Needless to say, I have no LO (*o*)  So I am posting my Mother's Day card for my mom, I also made one for my MIL but made it in a different color.  I of course lifted this from Splitcoaststampers and need to go back and give credit to the original creator!  I will still be doing a Mother's Day LO but that'll be posted tomorrow (hopefully).

So even though I wasn't able to post my LO today please still participate in the Challenge in honor or Mother's all around the world and for your own mom!

Upload your layout  to Tgf Galleria>Scrapbooking>Contests/Challenges>All about Mom
You have until Tuesday, May 12th to enter to WIN a TGF Single of Choice (in stock).!  WINNER will be announced here on the blog next Thursday during the next SB Challenge!

Hello!

Hi All!  Hope everyone had a great weekend and a Happy National Scrapbook Day!  Did everyone get to craft this weekend?  i didn't!  Had a few things I needed to take care of.  Yesterday was the same.  I pretty much spent the whole day cleaning.  Today I am out running errands and I hope this week I'll be able to fill a box full of goodies for the Philippines.  I so need to get rid of a lot of things and my cousins back in the Philippines can definitely use some of my stuff.

Enough about me...today's card I used the very cute Monster Fun by Hero Arts (did I tell you how much I love this set?).  I've been super lazy and haven't wanted to color anything images lately AND I've been wanting to use my other stamps.  Yes folks, I do have other stamps!  I hope to use them much more, give them some of the spotlight.  (^o^)  So w/o delay here's my card, it's simple but as you know that's how I roll!  LOL!
