TGF Challenge - Jacilynn's Sketch

We got another TGF Challenge happening!  Today's challenge was to follow a sketch.  Sketch was provided by Jacilynn

Here's my take on it:
Upload your layout using Jaci's sketch to Tgf Galleria>Scrapbooking>Contests/Challenges>Jacilynn Sketch
You must use TGF Stamps to create your project or layout and submit to the Galleria no later than Tuesday, May 4th, 2010.

One lucky winner will be chosen to WIN the new "Grandparents" 4x6 set!  GOOD LUCK and get scrappin'!

Hahaha!

You guys cracked me up...I told you I took the pic with my point and shoot...  I got comments about the cake looking peach or orange...ahahaha!  So I decided to take another pic with my dSLR.  Here it is!

So does it look pink now?  LOL!

Be sure to check back later today for the new TGF Challenge!

Aloha Tuesday!

I'm back from my mini vacay and it was a nice and very relaxing vacation! So happy that we took the trip!  I did absolutely nothing but enjoy our time.

Anyhow I had to come back to reality.  Yesterday was very busy for me but I was itching to create.  When I saw these cute Tealight Cakes from Teri's blog, I knew I had to try it out and of course I wanted to make it for my niece Christina.  Even though she's not girlie, she actually loves the color pink.  So of course I had to make the cake in pink.  Sorry the picture isn't that great, I used my point and shoot camera since my DSLR is still packed and to be honest, I'm super lazy!  That's the constant word for me lately!  At least I got this cake done so I can now send the package out to her.

I didn't post the cake inside the box because the picture wasn't that great since I didn't use my good camera.  So I'm just posting the cake.  The box I made for this is bigger than the box that Teri used because my tealight's "flame" is a bit high.  I guess there's no standard size tealights (didn't know this)  Anyhow I wanna thank Teri for introducing it to us!!  Mahalo Teri!

Monster Size Birthday - Christina

Aloha!  I finally got to make a card for my niece Christina.  She's not so girlie so I thought I'd use Hero Art's Monster Fun.  I just love this set!  As usual, I am late in sending this out (Ugh, when will I ever be on time?!?!).  Anyhow, I had a few things I needed to include with the package and with all my deadlines, time got the best of me, but that's nothing new. Time always wins.  Any who, here's my card...as usual, thanks for stopping by!

I got this set from Pineapple Cove.  I believe ManLe has a few sets left.

TGF Challenge - Stitching

Aloha!  TGF is hosting another challenge and the challenge is to use stitches on our LO or cards.  Please join us and upload your creation at the TGF Gallery!

HOW TO PLAY:

Just upload your layout using TGF Stamps and a STITCHING TECHNIQUE to TGF Galleria>Scrapbooking Kits>Contests/Challenges>Scrappin in Stitches.

You have until Tuesday, April 27th to get your scrap on using SEWING, FAUX stitching, Stitched embellishments or rub ons, etc.  Just as long as we can see SOME stitching on the layout!

We'll announce the winner when we come back on Thursday the 29th with our next challenge and ONE LUCKY PARTICIPANT will win THEIR CHOICE of TGF Single!

And without further ado here is my LO using the oh so versatile In the Spotlight kit:

This LO is basically about riding the train in Japan and how much it reminded me of my childhood.  I was so glad to have the opportunity to be able to go back to Japan several times while living in Hawaii.  And of course our means of transportation is the trains so it was great to experience this once again!

Now head on over to my fellow DT's blog to be inspired:

Happy Monday!  Last week was another hectic week for me...so I wasn't able to create anything else.  So I'm posting a Thank you card and RAK I got from Michelle.  She's such a sweetie.  Got this from her last week (or was it a little over a week? I forgot...LOL).  I love it, she's so talented and Love that she had put glitter all over her pants and frock on her collar.  Thanks Michelle!!!

TGF In the Spotlight Release Day

Sooo sorry I'm late posting this!  There was a bit confusion on my end and then I decided to change my LO!  Ugh!  LOL!

I think that it's really apparent now just how versatile these new, larger kits are going to be, not to mention what a GREAT value they are!  You get a TON of die-cut stamps for $28!  A full 8.5x11 sheet, so when you think about it, you're getting larger stamps, often more than 2 4x6 sets and paying less than what the price would be for 2 of our 4x6 sets.  Pretty cool huh?

I hope you guys ran over to the TGF shoppe and bought yourself this versatile kit!!! Hurry over cause from what I hear there's only a limited amount!

OK, onto the TGF Weekly Scrapbooking Challenge!

That's right!  Each week on Thursdays, TGF will be offering ANOTHER challenge with more chances to WIN!  (I know, we rock, LOL!)

JOIN us with our "TGF THURSDAY" Challenges for inspiration, ideas, prizes, and MORE!   TGF Thursdays will mostly consist of Scrapbooking projects with the occasional card or altered item thrown in, so please plan accordingly and now, without further adieu, our FIRST TGF THURSDAY CHALLENGE IS...

*Create a SCRAPBOOK PAGE using TGF Stamps!  (you can use embellies of your choice, but all stamps need to be TGF!)

 Here's my sample:

Sorry it's so light, however IRL it is perfect!  LOL!

Journaling reads:
"I absolutely loved visiting the temples in Kyoto.  Especially the Kinkakuhi (Golden Temple) or Rokuon-ji (Deer Garden Temple).  It is gorgeious in pictures but in real life it's absolutely breath taking!  The reflection of the temple on the pond which is called Kyoko-chi (Mirror pond) makes it all that more spectacular.  This temple is literally covered in gold - gold leaf.  This has to be by far my favorite temple out of all the temples we visited during our Kyoto tour!  I will always remember this tour and so happy we decided to take  it!"

Quote:
"We have travel to chosen destinations and keep the memories of these visit somewhere in our hearts.  With the written word, we are able to unlock our heart and once again relive times in our lives."

TFL and check out the other Guest Designer's LO's!

So here's my LO for today...

I wanted to initially use the In the Spotlight Anya stamp, but I thought Stamping Anya best fit this LO.

Here's what I wrote on my LO:

"It was so cool seeing the little TGF table at the 2010 Winter CHA!  I was proud of Marie and the TGF family!  In my opinion once you have a booth/table at CHA you've made it!  Now even though Marie had a small table (since it was her first time) you heard people talking about "those cute" stamps located right by the front doors.  Whenever I walked by there was always someone there placing an order!
I was also really glad to have met Marie and Jessica!  Those two ladies are the sweetest!  I had so much fun getting to know them and talk shop.
So happy for  Marie and her company!  TGF was definitely "In the Spotlight" at CHA!"

Well, thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to head over to Jacilynn's blog next!

Thanks for Hoppin' with TGF!

FFF (Farm Fresh Friday)

Aloha Friday!  It's FFF at The Greeting Farm today!  Today's challenge was to create a scrapbook page or card with the theme "Spring Cleaning Challenge" we were to use something we either

  1.  Found that we forgot we had or
  2. Something we were going to throw out but decided to use for the challenge.
On my LO, I decided to go with 1.  I have SOOOO many digital kits and as I was planning my LO, I saw Nancy Kubo's Mango Luau kit on my EHD,  didn't realize I had bought it way back when it was in digi format.  I have the traditional version, however my LOs are 8x8 and I'd rather save the traditional papers for my 12x12's.  I tell you going through my EHD I'm always surprised as to what I find!  Any who, here's my LO for today:

Supplies:
Nancy Kubo's Mango Luau DP
Stamps: TGF In the Spotlight Kit

Don't forget to check out my fellow DT members:

Projects

Been super busy this week so I haven't had much time to create for "me".   I've been doing TGF DT stuff and been creating for Mindy.  Finally got the Quickpage Album done for her and here's a preview.  This is not set in stone and I may have to change a few things.  I am not happy with all the pages but we'll see what I'll change or not...  Not sure when she'll be releasing this so please check back and I'll announce the date.

And if you can't wait for the premade pages, you can get the kit here.

As always I thank you for leaving sweet comments and always stopping by!!!

HAPPY EASTER!

Made these cute mini milk carton for my gf ManLe.  I went by the store yesterday and I never show up empty handed!  I just adore these milk carton, I didn't realize how tiny they were, but they're perfect.  Learned how to make the holder through Teri.  Thanks Teri!

Have a safe and HAPPY EASTER everyone!

Happy Birthday MIL!

Today is my MIL's bday and I'm late as usual! Ugh! Anyhow, another CASE'd card changed the colors and there you have it.  It would have been better had I measured it correctly.  This is what happens when I wait last minute and I have no time to redo...dang!  Any who...  Here's my card...I just love this stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by!

I've decided to hold off on the blogcandy since almost every blog I've visited is giving one away.  I'll wait till it dies down.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

BTW, this is going to be my last blog entry...thanks so much for always leaving me such sweet comments!!  Aloha!
